My favorite picks for war movies are as follows: civil war-1861 to 1865 "Glory" (1989) * also a recent civil war movie just released in 2002 its a ted turner production has Meryl Streep in it and Robert Duvall in it can't for the life of me think of the title. maybe someone can help me out and remind me oops...!! World War I 1917-1919 korean war-"Mash"" "Paths of glory" "For whom the bell tolls" world warII- "The best years of our lives" "Mrs. Miniver" "The divine human comedy" "The bridge on the river kwai" "I'll see you tomorrow"

In the movie "Inherit the wind" with spencer tracy and fredric march a stanley kramer film about the scopes monkey trial.The mob scene outside the courthouse in this southern town is being righteously scary and religiously ridiculous!!! Don't ever want to drive thur that town!!! Matthew Brady scares me to death !!! Don't give me that old time religion that way!!!
  5. TCM THANK YOU!!! FOR SHOWING METROPOLESS! PLEASE SHOW IT again as soon as possible. The 30 minutes of added film footage never seen am i right? Someone correct me if i am wrong gave the film more texture when going fromscene to another in that 30 minutes of film time!!! most enjoyable why did lang keep that 30 minutes of film out of the orginal cut? Could someone answer this question for me? could he only show the edited version? Lang was ahead of his time with this film,he deserved high acclaim and a oscar! Would love to give him one posthumously...!!! thanks tcm and lang for letting
  6. YOU CAN'T COMPARE APPLES AND ORANGES NOR CAN YOU COMPARE OLD BLUES EYES AND THE CROONER.BOTH MEN ARE VERY EQUAL IN STATURE. BOTH ARE EXCELLENT ACTORS IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. I CONSIDER THEM BOTH SONG STYLISTS, NOT SINGERS THAT IS A WELL DESERVED COMPLIMENT!!!!!please!? do not call them just singers!!"

  8. Just thought it should be mentioned that Carol Baker of the 60's era of films was also among the sexiest! Her portrayal of Jean Harlow in the movie"Harlow" was a haunting sexuality that stays and captures the audience. Along with the theme music of the movie I"m gone!!!!!!!!
  9. I would've liked John Garfield with my favorite Kate Heburn.I think it would have caused immediate fuel compulsion. Too bad the studios Didn't think of it to pair them early in their careers, before Hepburn and tracy became box office hit in the movies.
