A lucky teenager (same guy). Reporting as ordered for the draft, he -- in good faith -- told the harassed sergeant-in-charge that he did not have a HS diplama. He misunderstood the question, and just meant that he did not have the dilploma on him at the moment. By the time the truth emerged, he was judged mentally slow (which he was not), and was ushered out. Other guys from the neighborhood went to Viet Nam, and some came back in body bags. He stayed home.
