Yo, pastman;
Much obliged. I've wondered about that one for years. Decades.

In 1975's *A Boy And His Dog*, The "boy" is called Vic, and is played by Don Johnson. "His dog", called Blood, had previously been seen on The Brady Bunch as the family pooch called Tiger. The IMDb site for the movie has a couple of vidio blurbs that feature Blood. The Message
Boards at the site contain a debate as to what breed Blood / Tiger belongs to. "Bearded Collie" and "West Highland Terrier" are among the names mentioned. He _looks like_ an Old English
Sheepdog, but smaller.

BRIT -- A Sister
AMER -- A Nurse
(BRIT term is a holdover from a period when most hospitals were staffed from convents and almost all nurses were nuns.)

A theory worth considering:
In 1993, Harvey Keitel play the role of "Victor the Cleaner" in *Point Of No Return*.
In 1994, he played the role of Winston Wolf in *Pulp Fiction*.
In both of these stories he did the same job. He "cleaned up" evidence of crimes for employers who needed for such evidence to disappear. Such a man would have multiple clients, and may very well use different names, depending on the employer and the worksite. It _could_ have been the same man in both stories.
Worth considering.

Timeframe as to action of the story. Century? Decade?
Timeframe of release of film, at least by decade?
