That takes *The Jagget Edge* off the table. *Primal Fear* ?

Correct. Sinatra and Lawford together again for the first time (I think). The scene involved Brian Donlevy taking the heat off of Sinatra (Captain Reynolds), who had done a right thing, that politicos were afraid would displease some allies.
finance's thread.

Thanks, phroso. BTW, a book entitled Washington Goes To War, by the late David Brinkley, reveals an interesting fact: At the time the US entered WWII, the District of Columbia had more privies outdoors than indoors. It's been a while since I saw *TMTM*, and I don't remember if the scriptors made use of that factoid. Anyway, back to business.
Opening line, by a character:
"Hey, boy! What you doin' with my Mama's car?

Not *Caine Mutiny*. The action scenes involve ground warfare, and the discussion of insanity is misdirection. Those following that thought want to avoid facing the fact that the accused Captain was right in what he did, and also to avoid confrontation with some whose stance is very, very wrong.

Thanks, Mr. Sixes.
This conversation went by in a TCM showing a week or so ago:
"...So there will be no apology, certainly not by Captain _____. Besides, this boy has influence in Washington?"
"Influence??!! Who?"
"Me. Colonel _______, I think you've fiddle-fouled this whole detail. Captain _____ is sainer than either of you."
