  1. Also incorrect. That's the Rod Steiger opus I mentioned. At one point during the investigation, the detectives question and dismiss the person who turns out, in the end, to be the killer.
  2. Zama, Dr. Shiro -- Robert Ito in *The 'X' Files* (1993)
  3. Not *Lonely Hearts Bandits*. Further investigation shows that the contacts they found had involved entries that were expressed in poetry. Not the Rod Steiger opus either.
  4. Not *While The City Sleeps*. A task force is formed. Pooling info, they conclude that the perp is finding his victims in a 'lonely hearts' magazine Personals column.
  5. Not *Copycat*. The police are slow picking up on the fact, until two detectives from different precincts meet and discover some similarities in their respective crime scenes.
  6. Eve, had I been limited to one, I would have gotten it right. Next up: A serial killer, female victims.
  7. Did that happen to Bogie in *Across The Pacific* ???

  18. Correct. Thread's yours. I'm off to the computer store to buy a gigabyte. Later.
  19. Three people in this brief scene -- the girlfriend, the hood/tycoon and one of the gunmen covering him -- were English actors, on the verge of becoming well-known to American moviegoers.
  20. Urban, Seaman First Class -- unnamed actor in *The Caine Mutiny* (The cast list does not identify the performer, but Cmdr. Queeg's lines name the character. He was a sailor with his shirttail out.)
  21. Thanks, finance. New quote: "I got a guilty conscience. I defended you, S, because I found the wrong man was on trial." ???
  22. Thanks, proso. Due to a similarity in names, I spent some time researching the stories on serial killer Charles _Starkweather_, who was newsworthy when I was in high school. At different times, he has been portrayed by Martin Sheen and Tim Roth. Sissy Spacek and Fairuza Balk have played Starkweather's girlfriend. Anyway, new one, final line: "No...You go ahead and bury her. You and the group." ??? Edited by: cmvgor on Mar 22, 2010 9:41 AM
  23. Quark, (Cmdr) Adam -- Richard Benjamin in *Quark* (1977) (TV)
