Uh-oooh! Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the point about finding quotes that can't be Googled.

Well, imagine my surprise! With a little work, going right to the source, one can find some good passages that haven't been logged on net sites where they can be Googled. Some 220 Views, by the way. Eve's thread. Edited by: cmvgor on Feb 3, 2010 6:57 AM

Well, there goes a whole stack of clues into the thrashcan. It is 1969's *The Comic* showcasing some very good work by Dick Van Dyke (sort of a Stan Laurel), Carl Reiner as his agent, and Mickey Rooney (spot-on as a Ben Turpin type). Consulting sources for this question, I made the surprising discovery that this excellent film has never been committed to DVD, or even to VHS. I took the time to log it on Suggest A Movie, and to vote for it to be recorded for distribution. (Since my vote was only about #72, I would appreciate any other users who would add their own votes.) I would like to see *The Comic* get a full-court treatment from Osborne and an honored guest, to bring it to the attention of a wide audience. The film deserves it, IMO. (363 Views) phroso's thread.
