  1. Zeke -- Bert Lahr _outside the dream sequence_ in *The Wizard Of Oz*
  2. Wilson, Whip -- Whip Wilson (nee Roland Charles Meyers) in *Canyon Raiders* (1951)
  3. The context of the story: Getting into Showbiz; looking for the breaks; laboring at other jobs to support oneself in the meantime. NYC setting.
  4. Ursula -- Alison Lohman in *Beowulf* (2007)
  5. Swenson, Gloria -- 1980 title role for Gena Rowlands in *Gloria*
  6. The movie is a sequel, filmed in the early 80s, with only a few characters carried over from the origional, filmed in the late 70s.
  7. Correct, Eve. The reply given by Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) to a reporter who asked for a comment on the fact that Prohibition had been repealed. Eve's thread.
  8. Whew! Actually, that's the plot I had in mind when I named *Quick Change*. Now another quote, and this one irks me. I can name the film, and the person addressed (actor and character). so that's all I'll ask from anyone else. If someone can name the actress who speaks the line, that's extra. The Quote: "Relationships?!! Guys like you aren't relationships; you're exersize!"
  9. > {quote:title=CharlieT wrote:}{quote} > Well, Wilford Brambell was actually playing Paul's grandfather, but that's nitpicking. If that's the biggest mistake I've made this week, I can live with it. I last saw the movie in, I think, 1969. Still, up next: "I think I'll have a drink." (A final line.)
  10. Qualen -- Matt Clark in *Jeremiah Johnson*
  11. Said it before, and I'll say it again: Never underestimate pure dumb luck. Another one, a short one. Final line. The Lit professors would mention "Irony" "I think I'll have a drink"
  12. Langdon, Dr. Robert -- Tom Hanks in *The Da Vinci Code*
  13. BRIT: He come a cropper. AMER: He blew it. ...ie, it was a failure.
  14. *92* once again... "Hold it...hold it...gotta wait. Can't let fly until he moves away from that Olson Twins lunch box!"
  15. I couldn't match the quotes exactly, but it lines up with several conversations in *A Hard Days Night* , and the subplot about Wilfred Brambell in the role of John Lennon's grandad. (??)
  16. Dooley, (Detective) Mike -- James Belushi in *K-9*
  17. Is this an opening dialogue, or an ending passage?
