  1. Thank you - as soon as I saw Powell, Loy, Meeks, etc. that was the movie.
  2. Need help identifying Crime/Whodunit movie. I caught a short segment of a movie on TCM in the last 60 days or so. Will do my best to describe the scene. Detective/investigator gathered (10+) male/female suspects/interested party in room to review a murder and the possible scenarios. After some discussion, police bring in another suspect/interested party and this person is eventually shown the rifle that is used in the crime. After some pointed debate this person breaks down and grabs the rifle and tries to get out of the room. Any help would be appreciated. Edited by: garand on Feb 12, 2013 8:16 AM
  3. Well in the days when a group of us would get together to watch bad movies with the premise that the movie was a serious attempt by a film maker and not just pure camp - I have to go with Blood **** of the Leather Girls http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Orgy_of_the_Leather_Girls
  4. Not sure if this is from a movie or tv show but the exchange goes something like this. Actor 1; Hey it looks like you slept in your clothes and you tossed and turned all night - what happened? Actor 2: I slept in my clothes and I tossed and turned all night. Not much to go on but wondering if anyone recalls.
  5. Had to smile a bit while watching Patton again last night. The scene in question ? Patton is on his way to II Corp to relieve Major Gen. Fredendall after the Kasserine Pass rout. He is standing in his vehicle with the siren blaring on the truck. As they pass in the scene you can see very clearly a flag marked **** ? which I understood stands for Western Task Force. But I was picturing Patton in today?s internet world, the condition of the US army he was sent to re-invent, and perhaps the new meaning of **** for Patton. I could almost see him thinking that as he stood on that truck.
  6. Apparently did not review to well on imdb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424600/usercomments
  7. Think I have a lobby card for this movie laying around somewhere - in Spanish no less. Will have to find it, photograph it and post it.
  8. Fred - that is the scene in question. Field Marshal Erwin Rommel is shown in frame, then out of frame, and then back again as the scene moves along. Apparently it has been discussed and presented on other web sites
  9. To be a bit more specific - Rommel is speaking, about the impending invasion and how he will stop it on the beach, in front of a scene of the English Channel. While he is still speaking his body essentially disappears, while the audio continues, and then his body re-appears later still continuing the narrative. I understand that The Longest Day is available for viewing on hulu.com - will have to check it out at home to see if that glitch is there. I thought it was a DVD transfer issue apparently not.
  10. Decided to do a google search on Longest Day DVD Rommel Glitch and found the following. Not really a glitch turns out it is in the original movie. And don't be fooled by Field Marshall Rommel's odd dissapearing act when he's standing in front of the sea: this glitch (?) was reported as being present in the original movie.
  11. Was watching the Longest Day on DVD on Sunday and I was wondering if the original movie had what appeared to be a video glitch, or just the DVD I have. The scene is on the Normandy beach where Field Marshall Rommel is explaining the defense of the beach. He moves in front of what is obviously a film of the English Channel - saying the following while looking over the channel - Just look at it, gentlemen. How calm... how peaceful it is. A strip of water between England and the continent... between the Allies and us. But beyond that peaceful horizon... a monster waits. As he is speaking his character on film in front of the channel is gone for about 4 seconds or so while he is still speaking and then re-appears. Not sure which version of the DVD I have as I am at work but just wondering if anyone else noticed this. I tried a TCM search but to many results came up.
  12. Bump on this. If TCM scheduled 1 movie per week on a Friday, or Saturday night or even an afternoon on Sunday I would be sure to set up all the reminders on Comcast so as not to miss them. Remember those Sunday afternoons watching Family Classics on WGN in Chicago Link for Kaiju site http://www.kaijuhq.org/KaijuMovies.html
