Wow, Rey, Hopkins is FANTASTIC as John Quincy Adams! I've always known what a good actor he is, but had no idea Anthony is such a chameleon. And Welch actors have this marvelous cadence that adds so much to any performance -- you just can't help but be mesmerized when they speak. I'm also thinking of Richard Burton and Emlyn Williams. Thanks so much for this link! I obviously hadn't seen AMISTAD -- I tend to shy away from Spielberg when he tackles these important issues, don't know why...

>Here is Anthony Hopkins in a role which I believe fits him very well: Guilty Conscience (1985): http://youtu.be/rN-TazHHkgE> Oooh, this looks good, thanks Sans! I'm in the mood for an '80's t.v. movie over my Christmas break. I like Blythe Danner, too. It's her daughter I've got problems with, lol. (although Gwynnie was effectively unnerving in SYLVIA) I like Hopkins in MAGIC.

Oh my goodness! I'll also save my best wishes for Cap until he fully recovers. Then I'm sure his (misguided) tangled web will be demolished by your Dremel. -
Toby Jones, Anthony Hopkins, who next? "All of them Hitches"....

>Eww! You would never get me near any of those except for Psycho, which I am starting to be in the mood for since I saw Hitchcock (the movie) this week.> I'm still trying to get over Anthony Hopkins as Richard Nixon, lol.

If I were you I wouldn't ask what those other keys open. One of them could be that Door To Hell in Uzbekistan or something. Edited by: Bronxgirl48 on Dec 20, 2012 8:09 PM -
Ha! Let's see...Jack or Joe Junior? Don't you wish life's decisions could be that simple? The Sundance Channel has been running ROSEMARY'S BABY. ("He has his father's eyes!") The Mystery Channel is playing THE EXORCIST ("Demi, why you do this to me?") and PSYCHO ("Everybody goes a little mad sometimes") on rotation. Between these three, I haven't been sleeping very well.

>hat's my favorite period for Frankie too. His voice is incredible, I'm not sure if this is where he relearned to sing or not, but his phrasing, and the way he instinctively feels the song, well it's beyond compare. Such longing in his voice. It feels like it's just you and him, alone, and he's talking the song. So set em up Joe... > Oh I completely agree -- the intimate, delicate but emotional phrasing, there's no one else who expressed himself in song like Sinatra. -

Just by the audience reaction, that show definitely sounds live to me. I can't get enough of Sinatra's voice, especially during this period. Edited by: Bronxgirl48 on Dec 18, 2012 8:33 PM -

>Yikes!> lol, consider yourself lucky I couldn't find a photo of Joe Jr.'s bulgy crouching backside as the landlord nudges Lucy, "He's still single...." to which she replies: "Shocker!"

Wow, Sans, that 1913 stop-motion animation is among the most impressive I've ever seen! Charming and creepy at the same time; I wonder if Tim Burton was in any way inspired by it. -

I get the same romantic impulses seeing Rossano in that photo as I do with Rudy in the chair from THE CONQUERING POWER. Enough said, lol. Edited by: Bronxgirl48 on Dec 18, 2012 1:40 PM -
