  1. I'm so glad to hear your migraines are somewhat lessening. I used to get migraine-like headaches as a teenager, and they lasted for over twenty years. Very strange headaches; the things that brought them on were the very things that stopped them. For example, if I drank too much wine, I'd get the headache (always on the right side of my head) Then, once the ache reached its peak, a glass of wine would relax the pain. If I had too much sun, I'd get the headache. But again, when the pain was at its worst, the warmth of the sun would make the pain go away. Weird, huh? A bizarre constriction and then dilation of the blood vessels, I guess, with the instigators creating both. Loved that clip! Haven't seen the movie, but I can tell you that I HAD a hula hoop. A red hula hoop like the little boy. Then in the 70's I had a pyramid. Remember "pyramid power?" I slept under it and, uh, cuddled romantically under it, but didn't feel any different. What a hype!
  2. A heart? You don't know how lucky you are not to have one. And listen, my sentimental friend, hearts are never judged by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others Pay no attention to the buffet in the corner.
  3. Well, you ARE doomed. I just don't have the heart to tell you otherwise. Are you referring to the Chinese buffet with Mom yesterday? I'm still recovering from that.
  4. No one is past saving, not even you, my sweet little Gumby baby. Lady Isabel-Bronxgirl-Sandwich-on-the-Rye
  5. "A head for you, a tail for me...." And that's how Frank will cease to be! (just joking Grimes. Watch Cranford tonight on PBS and you might save yourself)
  6. Oh, how awful for you. I hear that biofeedback can be useful in some instances, as well as certain yoga breathing techniques, but I know that medication greatly reduces the severity, if not the total abolishment of this fiendish condition. You should be lucky, hwever, that you don't see Shelley Winters as a Dodo bird.
  7. And Jane would have looked very lovely in those earrings, in that beautifully bittersweet scene in front of the mirror in THE GRAPES OF WRATH.
  8. You won't have it your way. You can have the fries, but that's about all. My eyes are like the flames of HELL. I am SHE WHO WILL BE OBEYED!
  9. Oooh, Ralph a naughty puppy. Can't wait.
  10. I want to hear you do the song she sings to Tommy Rettig. Bob can wipe me dry anytime. Bye, bye, fancy red shoes!
  11. Lordy, what a cast!!! LOL, much thanks! Shelley Wiinters as a Dodo bird. Karl Malden as The Walrus. I've got to see this in its entirety. You know, I've heard that Lewis Carroll conceived of ALICE during the middle of a migraine attack. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48
  12. HAHAHAHA, Imogene is actually in it! And who knew Telly could sing? LOL "Meow, baby!" What a trip, thanks so much. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48
  13. Gee, I've all these evil Bettger roles to look forward to. Yeah, Lyle with the elephant.....
  14. I'm looking forward to seeing THE NAKED SPUR for the first time tonight. In addition to Jimmy and Robert, it's got Ralph Meeker!
  15. Well it IS a dilemma, lol. Why can't I be shoving away Mario Lopez? Not that I'd really shove him away. In keeping with this Western thread (I do occasionally get back on track), that'll be the day!
  16. Skinner is tops for me with the Universal horrors. I'm thinking of THE WOLF MAN and then it was recycled for everything that came after.
  17. Dimitri is too screechy for me. For instance: THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD.
  18. I'm gong to have nightmares tonight of Carol Channing and sheep. And Sammy as a blue caterpillar with a mustache. Well, he's still heads above all the drek that passes for stars today.
  19. LOL I'd rather think about Dennis Hopper in NIGHT TIDE.
  20. That's okay, Jackie, you're always worth waiting for. I also loved Walt talking to us in that opening. And I miss having only three news channels. This 24/7 cycle disgusts me. And all this reality show crap. Paddy Chayevsky was so prescient.
  21. Oh, how could I forget THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. Another Miklos Rozsa for me!
  22. Scott, I'm having problems with my Send replying to your last PM on Harrisburg, so let me say here thanks so much for giving me that info; sounds like my kind of place, although I think I'd prefer living in Bucks County, near some Christmas tree farms. I'm an ale girl who also loves champagne. Yours, Hallie
  23. I should be so lucky. But then again, I don't want to be squabbling in court like Anna Nicole Smith. The family always wants a piece of the action.
  24. I'm not so sure. Whenever he talks to me, he's looking at my chest.
  25. I also think his TRIBUTE TO A BAD MAN is beautiful.
