Octaman's face reminded me of Broderick Crawford. No, my drug of choice is coffee.
-
Where else but TCM can we find giant octopi, Stuart Whitman and bunnies, John Hoyt with a puppet John Agar (or am I being redundant).
-
And the last person I'd imagine anywhere near Roy was that old screech-stroker, Don Rickles.

You are a researcher after my own heart! I'll bet the cigar-chomping producers didn't have a clue that "octa" equalled "octo" for eight; they no doubt thought their title would give them the leeway to be more "creative" with the creature. Or that "octa" sorta sounded like "aqua". SANDS OF THE CALAMARI, LOL. I didn't know my sweetie was in this! And with Theodore Bikel, yet. (maybe he plays a Mel Welles kind of doctor)

Hi, cmvgor! Thanks for the MY PAL TRIGGER tip (no clips on YouTube) I guess I'll have to see Gabby to believe him looking so civilized, lol.
-
I guess that explains it. I too seem to remember bits and pieces of this. Poor Pier Angeli.
-
Takes the cake, doesn't it? Go over to the Octaman thread.

He's only got four arms, lol.. Where are the other four? Was it in the budget? Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48

It never fails to move me as well. I love Fonda in these scenes. "I wish I could have tipped it your way..." Ford is a poet. -
I wanna see The Flame Barrier (1958)...

Maybe ZOMBIE HONEYMOON is better. -

Yes. Too bad I never found The Zodiac Club on 6th Avenue and 13th Street. (where I lived) Night-night. Sweet Pappy dreams: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcuUvtenx6w -

Love that Elmer Bernstein. I used to live in Greenwich Village. THE SEVENTH VICTIM territory. -

Utterly adorable:

I would love to go to Spain and have real tapas. I'm not fond of the greasy calamari I find in most American Italian restaurants.

I can't imagine George Hayes in a suit and tie.

Ella certainly was an eyeful. Their romantic sparring had me in mind of him and Maureen; again, a taste for me of his later roles. Oh, that was Elizabeth Risdon, not Margaret Wycherly, as Gabby's nemesis. (Wycherly would have eaten him for breakfast, lol, in her creepy way), Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48

I've got a miniature Richard Dix figure on one of my ships. Strange how the other little crew members have vanished on it...... Ar-r-r-r-r, me hearty. I hear whistling in my apartment. I think it's Emyln Williams as Harry the smuggler from JAMAICA INN. (loved the book; hate the movie, except for Laughton, of whom Hitch revels in the character's hypocrisy) Excuse me, Stuart is calling. He wants me to play THE COMANCHEROS score to really get him in the mood. I'm insulted. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48
