HAHAHAHAHAHA. I think some lizards are living underneath their hair. -

Yes, the Captain's portrait is over my bed. My condo actually does resemble Gull Cottage. Maine is for the simple, elemental pleasures in life: gobbling up a succulent lobster roll; inhaling the restorative sea air; falling asleep to the sound of the ocean in your ears, climbing a lighthouse, strolling the woods for blueberries. -

I cannot take the bugs. Or the snakes. But lizards are an entirely different matter. I had a baby anole on my wall for about a day -- he seemed to be stuck there. I thought he was dead but all of a sudden when I blinked he was gone. For all I know he's in my apartment, but that's o.k. with me. -

You are correct, sir! Give that man a Gloria doll! (hey, I've got a Stuart Whitman doll in my closet waiting to be....oops, sorry) Ah, we're all desperate; just a matter of degree, LOL. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48 -

Awww! LOVE that baby! What a charmer. Who's a sweet wee gator? Who's a sweet wee gator? You will notice I'm cooing. Forgive me. -

You will all be invited for fun-filled weekends! Choose your location. I've vacationed in Boothbay Harbor for several summers (and I subscribe to Down East Magazine) but I've never been to Portland. Wow -- Pappy has a statue -- that is really fantastic!! I must have been an old salt in a previous lifetime. My living room has a nautical feel, with pictures of lighthouses. I have model ships and hurricane lamps scattered about. -

Fortunately I haven't seen a gator up close. -

No, I too love baby alligators; they're adorable. (the only reptiles that aren't are baby snakes -- UGH) We have a million little geckos and anoles and other lizards running around here and I adore them; they are like tiny dinosaurs. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48 -

The future Mrs. Doberman and her Duane will not stay in Florida. They will make their residences in Chicago, upstate New York, Maine, Montana and Scotland. Far away from alligators. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48 -

Unfortunately I'm NOT joking about the alligators in the canals around my area. This canal is five minutes from where I live. I never walk on that side of the street. Alligators have been known to slither out of them and are attracted sometimes by the smell of barbeque and many times by the smell of puppies and kittens. I only wish I were kidding. -

I have a feeling my Pyewacket is still out there somewhere.....in the dark.....waiting......waiting.... to come back to me. Unfortunately my complex doesn't allow animals. A bird or goldfish, maybe. Or an alligator. -

Hey, Scott! ''FRANKIE, YOUR MOTHER FORGIVES ME!" This is a Pappy quiz: What Ford movie is this from? If you guess it correctly, I'll send you an inflatable Gloria Grahame doll. -

Yes, my little Pyewacket. I didn't have him long, however. He was terribly skittish, and eventually ran away, out the door and into the Bronx night. For all I know, he's still wandering those streets with one of his nine lives. I haven't seen my Boca feline since that night. Maybe an alligator ate him. We have a lot of canals here, and the reptiles are simmering beneath the surface. A real tropical paradise I live in, LOL. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48 -
The only motivation I can think of for Burt to go with Wendy is that he wanted someone as unlike ex-wife Rita as possible, LOL. But darn it, even THIS is a stretch for me to contemplate. He's got Rita IN HIS BLOOD!!

I had a black cat called Pyewacket, in honor of Kim's familiar in BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE. -
Oops -- double post. Gabby got me all discombobulated, dagnabit!

Saw TALL IN THE SADDLE this afternoon. LOVED IT!!! GABBY RULES!!! LOVED DUKE!! LOVED ELLA!! (I can't find our discussions of it; I think I commented on the trailer; you're right, it's not noir, but a delightful comedy-mystery western, with a romantic triangle thrown in. Who knew Paul Fix could write screenplays??) Is this the first post-STAGECOACH cowboy role that solidified Wayne's later charismatic, iconic persona in the serious western roles coming up, starting with RED RIVER and going on to the Fords? I was finding myself actually physically attracted to Gabby. What I find fascinating about him here is that he really doesn't overplay it; he never wears out his grizzled, gummy welcome! The finale was almost laughably rushed, however, in a very "B"-movie kind of way, with the plot revelations and resolutions coming fast and furious, as opposed to the leisurely yet measured pace beforehand.

I like, Miss G., I like! He looks good in this movie, though for the life of me I cannot see him in a romantic, sexual relationship with Wendy Hiller.

I'm fond of octopi. They're rather sweet, like bunnies.

I might be confusing FOG ISLAND with NIGHT MONSTER re: your comments on it. I won't make you watch **** ZOMBIES. -
I guess Howard Hughes loved Faith's eyelashes, as well as other portions of her anatomy.

I thought the tentacles had more personality than the actors.
