That analysis of Barrymore you read about or thought about, is really brilliant.
-
He did Holmes and Bulldog Drummond? I never knew that.
-
I think you mean Zani, but, hello nevertheless!
-
Thanks for posting that neat Harryhausen interview.
I'm one of the girls he speaks about who loves dinosaurs. They scare me, but I love them anyway.

Hi, Zani. Yes, I thought Bette was very natural too. If you remember MR. SKEFFINGTON, she does something very interesting with her voice -- she makes the tone higher, to suggest self-absorbed girlishness; in BRIDE she doesn't exactly do that, but she does "lighten" up the register in a very unforced way. Quite a genius approach, when you think about it, IMO.

Hello there, young movie lady. I do remember you. Welcome back!

Well, maybe Golda could, LOL.
I haven't seen those Joan movies you mentioned. Actually I think the one actress noted for her dramatic performances, who could play comedy outstandingly, was Barbara Stanwyck. She's just great in THE LADY EVE. Crawford and Davis (and Hepburn) could take lessons from Missy in that department.

I actually haven't seen TROUBLE IN PARADISE.
I'll vote for THE GREAT MAN VOTES; haven't seen this one either.
I saw THE INVISIBLE WOMAN some time ago but it's been unfortunately blotted from my memory, because I vaguely recall that Barrymore is very amusing as a mad scientist, and the cast is pretty good.

It'll be a real swingin' year.

I know, it looks very bad, and Barrymore's part looks like it could be played by any standard-type silent screen actor. Seemed a waste of his talents.

That was a cozy place too.

That was one cool video, great actually. Thanks for posting the lyrics.
You deserve a hug!

I hope Lou Dobbs doesn't mess with this clip. It's just so cute in Spanish:

I love the movie MY FRIEND FLICKA and THUNDERHEAD, SON OF FLICKA.
I want to live where Roddy and his family did, in that gorgeous valley, and in that sweet farmhouse.
Great score, too.

Horses are pretty sexy in Chinese astrology. You lucky devil you.

I have the feeling it's not DON JUAN. Oh, and he's wearing funny looking harlequin patterned pants. I'm drawing a blank too. Thanks for trying. Nice jaunty photo of him.
