  1. You Know, I have seen movies that are just as good as A Clockwork Orange but I think you already know them by looking at the favorite movie thread. Message was edited by: Kubrickbuff
  2. I am not a big fan of Martin Scorsese, except for Taxi Driver, I don't care for his other films.
  3. Even though I don't watch the oscars for the fashions or the dresses I have to admit that Gwyneth Paltrow was pretty stunning, I did blush when I saw her. I am pretty happy with the winners, although I still think that Little Miss Sunshine should have won for best picture and I feel that the only reason why The Departed won was because Marty deserved it because he had never won before. 4. I have not seen Rocky Balboa yet, I don't go to the theaters anymore because I hate having to deal with all the cynics that you see a lot at the movie theaters today so I wait untill the movie comes out on DVD. The movie comes out on DVD on March 27 and I can't wait to see it, I love the Rocky series.
  5. Favorite movie? I would have to say Rocky.
  6. What movie do any of you think should win for best picture this year, I am hoping for Little Miss Sunshine.
  7. Halloween, A Clockwork Orange, Rocky, The Diary of Anne Frank, City of Angels, Heavenly Creatures, Romeo & Juliet (1996), 2001: A Space Odyssey, American Beauty. Message was edited by: Kubrickbuff
  8. The only best picture winner that I didn't like is Crash in 2006, other than that I like all the other best picture winners.
  9. If you join the programming challenge, you can put a showing of the movie on your schedule and you could get a lot of votes.
  10. Welcome to the site and I like your words.
  11. It doesn't bother me that TCM is playinng more modern movies, they can play whatever they want to play and if I don't like the movie than I just won't watch it, simple as that, no need to complain whan you have the option to not watch the movie, they're not forcing you to watch it so why do we need to complain. 12. As an actor I like Tom Cruise but as a person he freaks me out. The guy needs to chill out, ever since he fell in love with Katie Holms he has lost it. I enjoy some of his films though, Rain Man, Legend, Jerry Maguire, Eyes Wide Shut, Minority Report.
  13. I actually enjoyed this movie, it started out rather slow but It was ment to get you into the characters before the story really takes off and it did grab my attention, I think that this movie is a bit misunderstood, it really deseres more respect. It really brings back the Hitchcock way of telling stories.
  14. Anything, it doesn't even have to be just about movies, it would be about anything.
  15. Kate Winslet is a hero of mine, not just as an actress but as a person, I just loved her in Heavenly Creatures. Message was edited by: Kubrickbuff
  16. I never saw Tommy because I am not a big fan of The Who or classic rock for that matter.
  17. I like Robert Osborne, I would love to have a conversation with him, he is the best host.
  18. Maybe Reese Witherspoon, she has a nice way of combining drama and comedy.
  19. Leelee Sobieski. She reminds me of a young Ingrid Bergman.
  20. I like the art direction in the film, it does have a nice atmosphere to it. I do think that it's a very entertaining film, not a masterpiece, but still fun to watch if you are in the right mood. It's much better than the next installment, you all remember that one right?
  21. I don't have a curfew, even when I was a teenager I did not have a curfew because I was not a bad kid, I did not go to parties and I did not have any friends in high school and now I am in college and I still don't have any friends. My parents always trusted me and that's why I never had a curfew, my mom knew me more than anybody else and she new that she could trust me and that's why she did not have a lot of rules to give me, she knew that I was a good person. She did not care how late I stayed up she just told me not to complain the next day if I'm tired. Message was edited by: Kubrickbuff
  22. I will admit that the movie is pretty entertaining but nothing more, their is nothing in it that makes it a masterpiece, it does not have the superb character development that Batman Returns has, I hate how the filmmakers and the studio wanted to make a more family freindly movie because they felt the the darkness and the violence that Tim Burton had brought to the first 2 films was not a good way to go for the series, because of the toy sells and advertising adds for Mcdonlolds. ...but I will say that Nicole Kidman is a looker in this film. 23. I will be asleep when they show it, it airs at 1:15 A.M. I don't like to stay up late.
