  1. Congrats Sugarpuss and Movieman, you both came up with terrific schedules. As for the prises, I don't think that I will be wanting any of the prises that Filmlover presented. Just having my schedule in the challenge and getting two votes is the best prise that I could have.
  2. Hey Kyle! I don't get a lot of attention around here so thank you for your words. I was going to schedule Unfaithfully Yours but then I remembered that the film is owned by 20th Century Fox and I know that TCM usually can't get that rights to most films owned by that studio. That's why I didn't put any films owned by Fox in my schedule. I will try to find films that are hard to see elsewhere for next time. Thanks again.
  3. You know, I posted a schedule in the challenge too in case all of you forgot or just didn't see it. I know that mine wasn't the best one but come on, I am starting to feel like I am not liked around here.
  4. I am so sorry. I never had the pleasure of meeting you but you are in my thoughts and prayers.
  5. I was thinking the same thing. I have been excited about seeing him on Private Screenings all month and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love every film that he has been involved with. Has anyone read his autobiography, I Thought We Were Making Movies, Not History? Is it any good?
  6. I watched Hud again today and I must say that this guy is a legend. So many great roles. You don't see actors like him anymore.
  7. Check out this tribute video to the wonderful actor and person Paul Newman. Message was edited by: Kubrickbuff
  8. Thanks for your kind words. Just take your time on your schedule, I know that you will come up with something great. Good luck!
  9. Hey, welcome to the board. I am 19 and just getting into classic films but I still have a lot to learn about them. I like Ms. Hepburn too but I must say that I am more of a Bette Davis type of person but I guess you shouldn't compare the two of them.
  10. *Keep the schedules coming, everybody*. And make sure that they are better then mine, haha. No but seriously, great job everybody.
  11. Wow, I'm impressed. Terrific schedule. So much creativity and thought went into your schedule compared to mine.
  12. Here is my schedule. Sorry for all of the newer movies on there. I originally only intended for two newer movies to be shown and those were the TCM Undergrond suggestions but I couldn't find any older movies that fit with a lot of the themes that I wanted to do on IMDB. For instance, the time travel time slot. When I looked on IMDB, I couldn't find a lot of older movies that have to do with time travel so I just chose the ones that I saw on the list, I haven't even seen Twelve Monkeys before or Bill & Ted. I would be happy to make changes to the schedule if any of you can give me some sugg
  13. I'll think about it and see if I want to do it, if I come up with any good ideas. I would love to be involved again. My knowledge of classic films is very low compared to you guys because I am just getting into classic films, I still have so much to learn but I would love to give it a try. I have always wanted to do a salute to Preston Sturges, have any films directed by him been aired on TCM before?
  14. I'm not even old, I am only 19 years old but I am smart enough to know that Adam Sandler is not funny. TCM is the best!
  15. Maybe Claudette Colbert. She may not be the most respected actress but it's a unique choice.
  16. Anybody here care for Mickey Rooney or his movies because they are showing some of his films today on TCM. I will say that his movies are entertaining but they haven't made a huge impact on me. I much prefer movies with Humphery Bogart or James Cagney. I like darker material I guess, Mickey Rooney's films are a too sentimental. Don't get me wrong, I like family movies when they are well done like Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House and so forth. What are your opinions on Mickey Rooney's films? 17. I will say Nay! All of Adam Sandler's movies are the same. If I see one more trailer to an Adam Sandler movie I am going to vommit. His movies are dumbing down our country. Thank god that we have TCM to show decent movies.
  18. Does anybody know where I can find Hitchcock's Notorious on DVD? All of the previous DVD releases are out of stock on every website. Your help is greatly appreciated.
  19. I was looking at the TCM schedule in June and it looked fine at first but then I noticed that Rush Hour 2 is being played, what the hell? I don't have a problem with TCM playing newer movies but can they at least pick a newer movie that's good like Heavenly Creatures, Fargo or Lost in Translation. I have a problem with Rush Hour 2 being played because it's a bad movie, not because it's new. What's next, some random Adam Sandler movie? They will play Rush Hour 2 but yet they won't play A Clockwork Orange, that I don't understand.
  20. It's ok, people call me stupid, people call me a **** because that's basically what I am so I feel you.
  21. A Clockwork Orange, City Lights, Heavenly Creatures and more Buster Keaton films, I never see any of his early films on TCM.
  22. Oh come on, quit playing Mr. Nice Guy when you are just as rude to people so quit pretending like you care. The only reason why you are so nice to these people that complain about newer movies on TCM is because they are on your side, if they were not then I bet that you would be rude to them.
  23. I never go the the theater anymore, I always wate untill a movie comes out on DVD untill I see it. I hate going to the theater because people are always talking during the movie or making fun of the movie, people are so cynical nowdays.
