I couldn't for the life of me remember that Arthur Askey starred in it, but I knew it wasn't Charlie Ruggles.

Arthur Askey was a comedic character actor known more as radio personality but crossed over into film (and later television).

Title sounds "correct", but Jack Benny and Kay Francis weren't in this version.

All British cast, and if my memory serves me correctly, Robert Osbourne had mentioned that this film was one of several featuring the same cast and characters.

British comedy - made pre WW2 - took place in university

Main character dressed in drag to pose as best friends aunt to keep them from getting thrown out of school.

Hysterical film!!
