I loved his tone too. Bobby was a showman, and I am sorry he left too soon. He could've really enjoyed the reemergence of standards. He was getting out of his self-appointed exile when his life ended. He was even seeing Sandra again. So sad.
Thank you for the Barbara Cook! A clear tone, perfect for the stage. She does Meredith Wilson's music justice.

I had gapped teeth until I was 12 or 13, they just grew in closer and closed the gap themselves. My dentist thought that might just happen, and it did! One more Bobby Darin:

RIP, Mr Darin...
Did anyone here see Beyond the Sea with Kevin Spacey? I thought terrific...

On that, I agree. I think Elmer Fudd deserved the best supporting nomination as well. *What's Opera, Doc* is a masterpiece!

You and Jonny are real nice, thank you. In a far superior vein, a quote from one of my favorite Screenwriter movies:
>*I was living in an apartment above Franklin and Ivar. Things were tough at the moment. I hadn't worked in a studio for a long time. So there I am grinding out original stories, two a week. Only I seemed to have lost my touch. Maybe they weren't original enough. Maybe they were too original. All I know is they didn't sell.*

>Brian: *...It's the start of a new year. Time I did some goal-setting. I wonder where I'll be in three months?*
>Tom: *In three months it will be March. I love Florida in March! It's when all the breasts come out!*
from a yet to be sold script -- mine. It's okay; it's copyrighted.

Paper Lace, The Night Chicago Died:

Repeat Performance is a good one. The premise is: If you could live the past year over, could you prevent or improve situations?

h4. Happy New Year to you too!
Enjoy your days off.

Desk Set is great! I will be watching something from my Netflicks queue tonight (more Christmas I haven't caught up with yet) Another great one is THE APARTMENT, with Lemmon and MacLaine. It ends on New Years Eve.

So true, Kyle.
I don't even like the movie *Reds* - but maybe some here are convinced if I vote a certain way, I must support the mindset, come hell or high water. Are there any conservatives here who don't care for Ronald Reagan, John Wayne or Charlton Heston? Or rather, enjoy the work of Susan Sarandon, George Clooney, or Martin Sheen..?
Later: I think I've received my answer.. Thanks Fred for the reminder.

Love the Thin Man Series ! So glad there's a reference to Asta! Will you be working tonight?

Robert Morse is wonderful in *Mad Men*. Don't see him smile too much though. It's not a smiling part. Try Netflix; I'm sure it's available.
I do like men with diastema as well. I once discovered a man I thought didn't have gap teeth did, and I had to hold myself back to keep from kissing him.
I'd like to be called unique and charming for my proclivities.

Hello!
Gilbert wrote those wonderful lyrics that are the challenge for any serious *Baritone*..
I am the very model of a modern Major General. . .
. . .Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.
Thanks for the fantastic *Henry V* music! That part of the movie brings me to tears, and it does show that Kenneth did his research! Will I ever walk the ground of Agincourt? It is a fascinating battle to study..

Oh, how could I have forgotten *Upstairs/Downstairs* ?? I never missed an episode of that! It was for me what Dallas was to my girlfriends.

What a kind and thoughtful gesture toward JF, Jake. Your southern hospitality transcends politics. It will be rewarded sometime. You wait and see. Good Karma.
