Thanks for mentioning this. I fell asleep maybe 2/3 of the way in, and was very confused by the ending... Not a good one to watch groggy.

Welcome back, Young510! Regulars have learned to live with it..

It's cloudy, dark, and dreary here, and a perfect day for a Bach Brandenburg Concerto..

I get them all the time and the movies are always on. Oh well. >

Maximilian ?! I named my dog after him, JF. My Max is also very smart and has incredible eyebrows!
Joan Fontaine has no trouble dating a man named Maximilian in Rebecca. ;-)

Bad Karma, JH
I recommend you not play it. It is bad.
I have had several tough weeks recently in the process of a divorce. My spouse and I have remained friends and respected each other perspectives through this, and the formal filing will take place shortly. I am guessing you do not have the same steady quality in your relationships, as you have exhibited.
When someone contributes, JH, they are giving, and not taking anything away from those reading it. I cannot control your behavior or how you feel. You are in control of your own emotions, no one else has that control. Only the emotionally ill cannot control how they feel. Since you are choosing to be angry, viperish and mean-spirited, I guess that is what you want to project to the folks here.
I can choose my feelings and how I react to others.
Jake, I will choose to like you in spite of your behavior.
Thank you for starting this thread.

The soundstage copy of the house lets the DP manage the light. In a real house, with staircases and furniture filling the space, are pretty to look at but with equipment hard to nav around.
On a totally unrelated note, I think the lovely home owner is wearing Chico's pants! I sell them..

Never say never. I used to think I didn't care for C/W music. Bonnie Raitt has changed my thinking. There is always something to discover about yourself. Bonnie Raitt:

Thanks, CineMaven! I just found that exact video on Sunday night, but hesitated posting it... I loved the bar reading. I have loved Robin Ward's song since the sixties. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.

Until cinemafan posted this yesterday, I had almost forgotten it. It is a beautiful song. It is a wonderful movie. It is the last movie I bought in VHS. Everything else is DVD on the shelf, and now my favorites are on my TiVo or my hard drive..
Things change and we must change to them, but feelings we have in our hearts we control. Choose to love, and banish your fear.
Make it a great day, Everybody.

Oh, I was going to suggest Dead End (1937) - not a starring role for Bogie, but I really enjoyed his part..

Brahms is soooo romantic, I hesitate to use it in such a public setting. I hope you understand. Maybe it's me, but Beethoven is filled with Out There emotion, and Brahms touches me to the point of tears at times. I know someone once said Brahms 3rd was like Beethoven's 10th, and I believe it true. I feel Brahms could be more intimate, passionate.
Have you seen Letter to Three Wives? That one features Brahms 2nd Piano Concerto. It is also wonderful..
Let's settle down.
