I'll take my lumps with the best of them. What good is a person who cannot admit failings? I am happy we understand each other about Ms. Brinkley. Billy didn't deserve her, imho. I am always reminding myself it is fortunate to age, just try to do it as gracefully as possible.
To keep with your school theme, it's Homecoming and reunion weekends at many schools this weekend.
I have this on my Autumn playlist, the BEACH BOYS:
Happy Homecoming, Kids!

Billy Joel has a charming view of romance too, JH.

Christie's looks may be gone, but do we punish her for it?

There's a couple of great Jack Favell quotes too, but I'll leave those to JF.

Cinemafan, thank you for the clip of Man of Constant Sorrow. Absolutely loved this song since I saw *My Dapper Dan Man* in O Brother, Where Are Thou?

Good morning, everyone who's found us safely, and without too much trouble.
This one actually opened Jake's thread, and it's great, and I thought prescient.

While the board is going through permutations, Let's start a newer thread on movie quotes.
Same as before, just post quotes that have stuck in your mind.
>Dick Bernly: *So! This is what you're into now! Bondage!*
>Judy: *What's that?*
>Dick Bernly: *Bondage, S&M, sex games!*
>Judy: *That's right! All of it, I'm into everything, now get out of here!*
>Dick Bernly: *Who was that guy?*
>Judy: *He's my boss.*
>Dick Bernly: *Your boss! You're having an affair with your boss, isn't that typical!*
>Judy: *Just like you had an affair with your secretary!*
>Dick Bernly: *But, Judy, you can't do this! This isn't you!*
>Judy: *Don't you tell me what I can or can't do! Those days are over! And if I want to have an affair, or play sex games, or do M&M's, you can't stop me!*
>Dick Bernly: *M&M's?*

Jake,
Never heard the Emmy Lou Harris song before. I looked up the lyrics on the web, partly I never seem to understand Emmy Lou's lyrics (must be me) and I came home from two jobs today, and I am very tired. The poetry and sentiment is beautiful; what a lovely song.
for this morning,

*Telstar*. That's great, JH
Hearing the '62 hit brought me back to childhood. The following summer, I learned my first song in Japanese. Just by imitating the simple lyrics:
Read the whole text. I have wondered what happened to the singer.
Have to get to work,
Make it a great day, Jake.

I consider this Johnny Cash's most powerful ballad:
One artist's the dark night of the soul, brought to your attention from another who's often dismissed.

I guess I've just added to the dilemma, cinemafan.
