  1. Thanks for posting. Music has the power to transform our moods. Well, at least for me it's true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzNQTJgRioM&feature=relmfu
  2. Fixed the previous pic. Sorry about that. Ironically, the building I live in was built in 1987, and is hurricane compliant, but its design to me is absolutely East Germany circa 1955. If I want better architecture, I must pay $400 more a month.. So I walk downtown for my Classic South Florida Charm, which is older 1900 mansions and some charming bungalows close by. Plenty of sidewalk dining and now that season is over, the crowds are gone. It is almost romantic. Edited by: casablancalover on Apr 20, 2012 9:29 PM
  3. One of the reasons I moved close to downtown (within walking distance) is to enjoy the old preserved center of the city. The other was to be close to the Caloosahatchee... Edited by: casablancalover on Apr 20, 2012 9:27 PM

  5. Actually, we have. Many times. It is the times we've worked together for common purpose of raising this country up to its dreams for its people. That's what the Lighthouses speech was about. The Dream of the American People, united in purpose, whether in establishing a bedrock of opportunity for it's citizens or fulfilling a concrete goal beyond our selfish desires.
  6. Another great scene, when James Gleason (as Mr Connel) give his "lighthouses" speech to Gary Cooper (John Doe) in MEET JOHN DOE .. When he describes how he truly feels and believes about this country, it gives me goosebumps too. Edited by: casablancalover on Apr 18, 2012 10:33 PM
  7. Golly, misswonderly, those experiences you're having are deja-vu.. You are strongly identifying it for yourself as your remembrances. That explains it, but it doesn't make it seem any less profound. I think the reason some people don't embrace the experience for themselves for maybe they haven't had a moment in time that struck a chord. They should watch more classic movies and movies must present the past with the spirit and reverence for the history they are recreating. When I see a film from the 40's I get the chills in some scenes too. I was born 10 years after that..
  8. If you haven't seen this movie, don't ruin it for yourself..... *and why haven't you??* [Cinema Paradiso|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEFugVbzsSo]

Many of my teary moments are already listed, but another some others catch me every time. Field of Dreams - the ending The Natural - Hobbs homerun Why is it the sports movies?
  12. Thanks for posting the follow-up to show the how-done... I bow to the master... It is much more a Brandenburg Concerto in their process than a slogan for a pitchman. I still wouldn't buy a wood phone, I wonder if the fellow did dominos previously? Stealer's Wheel appears to have removed all content other than their approved videos,
  13. [The Romantics|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56KPTQtsH8U] because I want to dream..
  14. I dunno, Sans.. Now that I know it's a commercial, I always think its all faked. They do wonderful things with CGI these days. Sorry to hear about Robin Gibb.. The BeeGees. 15. h3. **** ! The skirt's a nice touch. I was just writing a little thing about the old board game, Mystery Date, then I see this ! I am glad ponies don't come with long ears to go with those long faces.. He looks downright depressed. h4. Disaster looms I do not know the size of the doggy bed or doggy dishes, but Ben's at the Film Festival today and so I am sure the little buddy needs his walkies very soon! 16. >>"That's way it was such a shame that she was a "virgin". What a waste." - finance > >Now, C'mon. Do you really think you could watch Doris Day in Butterfield-8 and find her believeable? Or even worse, not laughable? > >And I wonder if she would have even chosen to do it if asked? > >Kyle In Hollywood Love Me or Leave Me is about as close as we could see her stretching out of her virgin persona. She didn't get the plum offered to Shirley Jones in Elmer Gantry.
  17. Oh, perfect choice, willbefree25! I love those Andy Rooney eyebrows!
  18. I love to laugh at The Simpson's, and yet the Kettles don't cause this hilarity for me. A show I try to catch now is [big Bang Theory|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0xgjUhEG3U] . I guess I have more fun with smarter people's neuroses than actual ignorance.
  19. Another detail to fixate upon. What size bed? Is it a Golden, or a Schnauzer, or a Scottie? Will Ben's dog make an appearance?
  20. Thanks, SansFin. How did you find this? At first I thought it an incredible effort at creativity and style, but then... I don't want a wood phone. It's a commercial. [Ovaltine|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdA__2tKoIU] I feel like Ralphie. 21. Hello, everyone! Done with my taxes.. But with various discussions going on, this song kept playing in my head.. [Gene Pitney|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDN4L7cAQf0] There were many great western songs: [Paladin|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgvxu8QY01s] h5. I do love America Pie too, has me feeling more nostalgic

  23. This is a great tribute to Joel McCrea. I haven't even finished reading the month yet, and there are so many wonderful offerings. One of my Favs- Primrose Path
