Besides the album stated earlier, another Mancini Album was *Six Hours Past Sunset*, which contained more themes, including the beautiful _Two For The Road_. I don't know if it made the transfer to CD.

You're right, scsu! I stand corrected! Mother's would be great name for a wine bar too.

We are still here, Friartuck! We are not dissin' you. Threads will sometime take a rest.... The Tati thread might not start up again until October! ! ! I don't know if I can wait that long for posting. I want to talk about Tati now! ! !

You didn't do too bad yourself, CM...

*Mr Lucky*! ! ! I do remember that show. He was so sauve. I thought John Vyvan was the definition of sauve. And I really like Ross Martin in that show as well. Besides Wild Wild West. Was Mr Lucky the name of the floating casino?
I also remember *Peter Gunn*, with another great theme by Henry Mancini. I think there should be some swanky wine bar named Mom's - because I always thought the place in the TV show was not quite as nice, but the name would invoke some memories for folk.

*Jean Arthur* with *Frank Capra*

I had forgotten about Gull Cottage, that is a great set. I've been intrigued by the Cottage in *Love Letters* (1945). I also loved the bedroom in *People Will Talk*. In Fact I loved that kitchen, but we all have our limits ;-) !

I know there are currently threads discussing clothes (pun just for you, ccbaxter), and movies we would like to step into, but I am about to move into a new (old) house, and wondering if there are any home settings in the movies you'd like to reproduce in your own home if you could.
Did you always want the dining room in the *Andy Hardy* movies? Envy for the staircase at Twelve Oaks in *GWTW*? I've enjoyed the homey atmosphere in *Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House*, but I also love the Bedroom in the *Thin Man* movie series. I think we need to show our appreciation for the work of an Art Director and a Set Decorator.
I do love the home decor of many of the late 40s early 50s movies.

I remember _The Thin Man_ in syndication in the afternoon, afterschool. Phyliss Kirk was cute, but she was no Myrna Loy. I don't remember the storylines. I suspect the drinking was toned down for TV. Funny, I remember shows like _77 Sunset Strip_ and _Hawaiian Eye_ and _Surfside 6_ much better! Cute young people, great locales!

Hey, I've been to 84 Charing Cross Road ! It is filled with book stores/shops...

TOPPER ! ! Starring Leo G Carroll. THE THIN MAN - who was in that! ! ! I remember Phyliss Kirk...

KIM ! ! !
SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK ! I have missed your posts and provocative questions. CCerini will know about this too. Sorry to hear about your challenges, but I hope it is going up for you now. I loved your comments about celebrity posters, but I'll tell ya, there are celebs here, but we just don't know it! So it's wise to be nice to everyone, like Kim and myself. Ha-ha!
Say whatever suits your fancy....this is your thread.....take your soapbox.

Oh my gosh! THE FARMER'S DAUGHTER ! Does anybody remember HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE ? I remembered it as a little kid, and Barbara Eden played Loco in the TV version. I didn't even realize it was a movie first until I was an adult and saw it on TV! Talk about coming full circle.

I have a derringer, and you're armed with a grapefruit?

The Library at University of Texas has the correspondence of Jack Warner; usually Public Universities will let you examine collections with prior appointment. The Warner Studio had their Museum as part of their tour, I would check with the Warner Studio people.

I enjoy looking at your posts, and hope your treatment is very successful. Please keep reading and contributing when you can. We can provide a pleasant diversion; and I speak from experience. When you get into truly difficult situations, its nice to have someplace to escape, even for just a little while.

For cc:
*Like Marie Dressler! ! !* Ha - HA.

Because we are so *pretty* ! ! ! In this movie-making biz, it all about the eye candy.

Oh my, Yes! and it appeared to be nothing like the movie. I liked the TV show more. Thalia Menniger, Maynard G. Krebs, and my personal favorite elitist, Chatsworth Osborne III ! Steven Franken, where are you now?

You can do that _now_, unclecharlie. The field is in Dyersville, Iowa, just west of Dubuque. And in the late summer, before the harvest, you will ask, "Is this heaven?"

Great chart, all right! Nancy Olson would have been a devastating Eve; she would appear so innocent...

I was just thinking its been too looong since I saw *Les Girls*. Then it occurred to me that there was a TV show based on the movie: _Harry's Girls_ ran in the early sixties. I don't remember much about the show except Johnny Carson like to have one of the "Girls" - Dawn Nickerson, on as a guest quite a bit. She was a doll! It was the first time I'd heard the name Dawn, and the Four Seasons song came out after that. It seems I'm always after the obscure...

I recognized what HHH was referring to as well. You dared to name it! Your a braver gal than me! Now some unsuspecting soul will get curious....
The only good thing I can think of about that movie is the song "More",

Hum....*Bridges of Madison County* and *Out of Africa* - I guess I'll need to see them, for I fell asleep during both when they first came out. Maybe if I saw it with a guy I could fall asleep with?
But to keep in the context. . . I'd say *Young Frankenstein*, when Madeleine Kahn says to Peter Boyle, "Wait a minute! Hold on there! Oh, Oh! Oh,Sweeet mystery of life/at last I found you....." Hopefully, I have that near correct; I was laughing too hard to recall exactly.

Oh, Kyle! Love that imagery; Our home does have a bannister original to the house, but fortunately the kitchen has been properly updated. Also, new exterior and roof. No broken windows.
I would love Rebecca's bedroom (I always considered Joan Fontaine Mrs deWinter) -except it would have to be light blue.
