There maybe others. I am a fan.

  3. I think Orson Welles is the perfect choice for Rochester. Sometimes, when I watch it (and I've seen it many times) I think Welles was the only one who read the book and studied the character of Edward Rochester. He captures the brooding, contrary nature of a man burned first by his own intemperance, then cynically playing up to the manipulations of Blanche Ingram. My favorite version too, hands down. John Houseman provided much the screenplay, which does about as well as you can without it turning into a mini-series.

  4. I keep my lists shorter than most. Get more accomplished

    Favorite Bette Davis performances:

    Now, Voyager

    The Letter

    All About Eve

    All This, and Heaven Too

    The Little Foxes

The Man Who Came to Dinner

    Mr. Skeffington

    The Old Maid

    Marked Woman

    Dangerous

    Bordertown

Thunder Island? Did you catch that off of someone else's bodacious list? I love it too.

Many years ago, a friend sent me a note (post office-before e-mail) on a note card with a thong **** from the back (not being worn, lol) with a big knot in the strap going up. The printed note inside said:

    >*I hope I didn't put your panties into a knot..*

It was a very good laugh! And then you had to close the card to see that pic again, for now you're wondering how did they do that?? LOL

    Anyhoo

h4. Was the CFU just a plot to try out the new format?

I started there over a year ago, but forgotten all the little settings, so I don't get back there. Prefer this messageboard for reading/writing. I think of this forum is my social network.

I dunno. There has been such a rush on the part of so many sites to upgrade and change, I guess mostly to the 3G and 4G networking.. (btw, TCM- $2.99 for the app?! Yeesh)
