  1. Jack, Thanks a bunch for your assistance too
  2. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MONGO, FOR YOUR VERY KIND AND THOUGHTFUL ASSISTANCE. YOU'RE A GODSEND AND A TERRIFIC HELP!
  3. HI Mongo, I've been having techincal problems with my log-in to my private message box for most of the entire afternoon and evening. Everything else seems to be working fine except this one section of my thread. If you can, please forward info using the home email I left for you yesterday. In the meanwhile I'll continue to see if I can open message box. Sorry to be so much trouble! Many thanks.
  4. Sidebar: I also recall Nan Grey in The House of Seven Gables. What a lovely girl she was. She and Lane seemed very happy together. I heard an 1980's interview with Frankie Lane on the radio last week. He said that when Mel Brooks called him up and asked if he would do The Blazing Saddles theme song, he said, sure, he'd love to. However, it wasn't until after the movie came out that he realized it was a comedy. Brooks told him later he didn't want him to know because he (Brooks) wanted to make sure he sang the song completely straight, not as a joke.
  5. Thanks -- I believe I successfully sent it via "private" mail. Please let me know if you didn't get it. Many thanks.
  6. I'm so new to this I'm not even sure how to send a private message. Could you advise? Thanks!
  7. Dear Mongo: I'm brand new to the TCM string and was wondering if you could help me with my search. I'm looking for contact info for ANN SAVAGE. I want to send her a fan letter. I've contacted all the noir sites, including Art Lyons and Eddie Muller sites. No luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  8. Yes, I also wrote Eddie Muller but never received a reply. Any other suggestions? I'd perfectly happy to have someone forward the letter for me (in the event Ms. Savage's address is private) but can't find anyone to do this either. I'm pretty certain she still accepts letters and is open to receiving fan mail. Thanks again for your input. Thank you!
  9. Help! Can anyone provide me with an address for ANN SAVAGE? I've gone the full round on the Internet; emailed all the film noir sites, also Googled galore. Wrote noir expert Art Lyons in Palm Springs. Also Eddie Muller. No luck whatsoever. I would love to write her (and, yes, she is still living). Any suggestions? Many thanks!
