Carrie Fisher is the next guest host of THE ESSENTIALS and has their been any guest host that has picked their series of movies that DON'T routinely play on TCM? To me, The Essentials are a big yawn because I don't believe for a second that those films are their top picks. Instead, they come off as the top 4 films that the guest host prefers with a caviat that are already constantly in the TCM rotation. Seems like their ought to be a premiere or an oddball choice here and there, but instead it's Breakfast at Tiffany's, The African Queen, The Producers, King Kong and The Lost Weekend for the umpteenth million time.

Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer rule! These films have only been shown on TV and on DVD in fullscreen. They absolutely ought to be shown on TCM in all their letterbox glory .... which I doubt anyone has ever seen since they were in theaters all those years ago.

Ever since last year I've been dying to know the name of the music that is being used over the title cards of TCM'S 31 Days of Oscar. Does anyone know? I'd appreciate it, please. I heard the whole thing once playing in the background of a Chipotle ... but when I asked them, they couldn't tell me. Message was edited by: JoelGoodsen
