[Looking for an old movie - don't know the title or the stars]

I remember seeing a movie back around 1965 about two sisters in love with the same man. However, the man is in love with the younger sister and sends a letter asking for her hand in marriage. The parents intercept the letter, but tell the older sister he has asked for her hand in marriage. The older sister is sent off to where the man lives, (somewhere far away, maybe a logging camp, or somewhere very remote) and of course, he is very upset when he finds out which sister has been sent to him. He marries her anyway. The younger sister is heartbroken, and becomes a nun. Does anyone have any idea what movie I'm describing? I remember this movie so vividly,and I was only around 10 years old at the time, and would love to see this movie again. Definitely a chic flick. Please help?
