  9. have only seen this from 'Lzcutter', posted @ SSO site: " Re: ACCOUNT SUSPENDED page @TCM?by Lzcutter » Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:04 pm I am back home from my whirlwind anniversary celebration. From what I understand, there was a glitch in the system, not sure if it was on the TCM side or the message board hosting company side. (And we here at the SSO know a bit about that having had our own hosting company glitches in the not to distant past) The message boards were designed and are hosted by a different company(ies) than those that designed and host the main website. Also, in this era of budget cuts, severance packages, and lay-offs, we should also try to understand that while the Message Board community is important to TCM, the company is undergoing its own personnel and budget cuts and likely can't afford to have someone on staff or on contract watching the MBs 24/7 to guard against glitches. Technology is not infallible and neither are the people who program it. Luckily, given that it happened over a holiday weekend, the site went back up sooner than expected. Sometimes with technology, you have to take your wins where you can get them. My apologies to all who were adversely affected by the outage and hope that it doesn't keep you from enjoying TCM in the future!"

Cast: Lionel Barrymore, Miriam Hopkins, Franchot Tone, Stuart Erwin, Irene Hervey, Beulah Bondi. "A young woman, recently separated from her husband, leaves the city to stay at her grandfather's farm. Here she finds her roots, as well as a kindred spirit in neighboring farmer Tone, a college graduate. Why this rich, mature, beautifully made film isn't better known is a mystery. Phil Stong helped adapt his own novel for director Vidor." ARTICLE: http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title/1724/Stranger-s-Return-The/articles.html
  13. Finally, thanks KG speaker was Peggy Cummins as 'Joanna Harrington' -your thread.....
  14. again. sorry, but with their recent dvd sales fiasco (wasn't gonna bring it up), missing animation segment and now this mess board "account suspended' blunder, there DOES seem to be a pattern of behavior of indifference and unprofessional conduct on TCMs part, and I see nothing wrong with calling them out on it.
  15. sorry, but if a simple explanation could have been posted SOMEWHERE, it would have been more professional and courteous to their public. Instead of having everyone flounder around from site to site and wasting time and e-mails. And still no explanation or apology! Bad form and "Another fine mess the station got itself into"
  16. Good thinking, lavender. That's the one -your thread.....
