"We originally thought we could shoot it as PG-13 without compromising the scares," one co-writer said. "And then the MPAA came back and gave us a badge of honor. They gave us an R for 'Violence and Terror.' We asked them if there was anything we could do, and they said, 'Why ruin a perfectly scary movie?'" --what horror film (remake of 70s tv movie classic) does this refer to??

remember you're seeing a large block of his films, one after another on a tribute day like this, so it's easy to to get tired of his persona. But back in the day you'd maybe only see one or two a year

sorry, forgot this one this should help: During an interview on a late-nite talk show, after challenging the host to an arm-wrestling match, this guest delivered an impromptu karate kick a few feet from the host while stating, "I'm strong... I can kick!" After which the host then abruptly ended the segment by walking off stage.

try this: I see that lots of people hate this movie. I guess I can see why. It's so idiosyncratic, so loose, so out there, so...(director). But this is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest, and most tender movies I have ever seen. This movie can be enjoyed if for no other reason than for its total lack of irony. Like ,,,(title character), it is what it is. And I believe it to be a masterpiece. ('80s film) ???
