-in reference to one of his earlier roles, in what film is Cagney called upon to promote grapefruit, complete with a song composed by Warren and Dubin called "Grapefruit Acres" which can be heard on the radio during the film ?
-
-
-at the director's orders, an actor deliberately chews raw garlic just before shooting a romantic scene with his leading lady.

Cagney's great, could almost do anything !

quoting TB:
"transferring threads over to blogs, so that means they will continue in an area where I can approve other's comments..... Again, I want the data to be available but I retain authority on the types of comments that others post to it."

Miles, want this or open?

Ira Gershwin wrote the lyrics to a melody by his brother George that, unfortunately, did not get heard in the film for which it had been composed. Only the melody was used. After George died and several years later, the lyrics got to be heard at last when they were set to a new melody by Jerome Kern for another film.
Name the song. Additional points, for what it's worth, if you can name the 2 movies involved.
any hints?
