"noun: business model;a design for the successful operation of a business, identifying revenue sources, customer base, products, and details of financing."-so again, just HOW is TCM's business model flawed??and just what happened to the 'News' thread started yesterday that was to generate 10,000 VIEWS??

You are so right! That "Baby" has been popping up a lot. There is a trove of "underground" films out there. Films that have never seen the light of day for most fans. TCM should act as an Underground prospector and dig up some of these undiscovered nuggets.
any suggestions?

In the film version of 1776, what number was cut from the original film release as a favor to Richard Nixon by Jack L. Warner?
-thought this was easy,

the song depicts Revolutionary War–era conservatives as power-hungry wheedlers focused on maintaining wealth.

I don't know how easy this one is, but it certainly isn't real difficult. You may do some research if you wish. The move "The Paleface" featured the hit song "Buttons And Bows". It was sung by Bob Hope. The song was also performed in the sequel "Son Of Paleface" four years later. In between those two movies, the song was performed in another well known movie. Do you know what that movie was?
after 4 days, maybe some clue??

In my opinion, Elizabeth Taylor's absolute best performance. As was Richard Burton's. She won a Best Actress Oscar. He should have won the Best Actor Oscar. Of all of their film collaborations together, this is their very best.
Totally agree on all counts. This was as raw and intense a film you're likely to see where the actual body count was zero. It's about as "Essential" a film as you can get.
that may well be, but their pairing in Taming of the Shrew is alot more fun to watch

To LornaHF:
"Is it just me or was Eddie Muller supposed to be getting a regular gig as a host? Why hasn't that happened yet?"
I wondered that too.
Here's an indiewire story from Jan. 2014
"At the Saturday night screening of "Noir City" in San Francisco, Eddie Muller revealed that he will be joining Turner Classic Movies as an on-air host. Muller appeared on TCM last January to present a four-film "Night in Noir City," which was so successful that he was invited back in June to host TCM's "Friday Night Spotlight" showcasing 16 films by such noir writers as Dashiell Hammett and James M. Cain."
Well, since this is July, wonder if it's been cancelled or just delayed??

always glad to see 1776, it's become a traditional viewing for July 4th

Just wondering about why there's a lack of good classic era films about the Revolutionary War.
there's some suggestions here: http://allthingsliberty.com/2013/01/top-10-revolutionary-war-movies/
but most of these are pretty modern.
