I've never cared for her either. I know it's tacky sounding, but I hate looking at her. Nothing to do with her acting. Something wrong when someone like Bette Davis only wound up with 2 Oscars and McDormand has 3 already. I thought she did deserve it for 3 Billboards, but NOT Fargo......Havent seen this one.

Wow. Never realized that. I guess since you can't see it, it's ok? LOL. I wondered if they'd have dialogue explaining action or some outside commentator explaining. I knew they had sound effects, etc.

Interesting! Wish they'd left that info in the film about crawling through the window. Then the line makes more sense! Would've been so much better. How do they convey the action in these radio plays?

I didnt realize she had been in that many. Am sure there'll be a lot of padding in there if they are small parts.

I didn't think that Oscarcast was as bad as they touted it to be. Bad, yes, but it didnt stand out to me to be as awful as they said.

Yes, years ago I used to go to parties and there'd be ballots and a pot. Whoever got the most wins won the money (I won a few times). Now I really don't care and dont even watch (except to FF and watch a few winners when I record it). Yes, it was Soderbergh. NEXT!

Agree. With ratings like this, what do they have to lose? Back when they were on Mondays, the show only ran 2 hrs or so. The good old days!

Viewership on the east coast wanes as the night progresses. People have to get up and go to work. Don't understand why they dont do this on Friday or Saturday nights. Just because its a tradition? I remember many years ago the Oscars were shown on Monday nights.....

I wouldnt say that. Younger people aren't much interested in watching the show or caring who wins (I don't much either) Older people who are more prone to watching this relic dont go out to the movies that much and this past year, no one did! The Oscars just arent relevant to most people anymore. The growth of of other televised award shows that air before the Oscars also factors into this.

It's the glasses and her frumpy wardrobe that give her that spinsterish air. I don't think her coiffure was over done. She probably set her hair with bobby pins overnight. LOL.

They never get it right. Why don't they just DROP IT???? I just watched it on twitter after posting this. AWFUL. Most of the people are shown so quickly you don't have time to read their name AND the profession of each! If you didnt know who the person was, you wouldn't know what they DID! Yet, they devote a MINUTE AND A HALF to introducing the segment! This is probably the worst one I've ever watched. PATHETIC.

Will ad rates go down next year? LOL.
