  1. She played Crystal in that revival??? Surprised they didn't get another big name for that (considering the cast).
  2. Who could not love Gene Kelly on roller skates? It's a favorite as well. Too bad they cut 2 numbers from it. I think they are on the dvd. (at least the audio tracks)
  3. I don't remember Chris Bernau. So he was in the Leviathon story? I read up on him (what little there was) and he moved on to Love of Life. He was a well regarded actor there.
  4. I'm bored with this discussion. The film isn't good enough to merit it. NEXT!
  5. It's about HIM and his friends. Yes, he's the lead, but his pals have significant parts too. I'm ok with his performance. We'll have to agree to disagree.
  6. I see they are selling it in sections for $25-30 per. I'll go that route and buy it in stages. But it doesn't look like they have every part. Wish someone would rerelease it as a WHOLE set!
  7. Are they still selling the coffin version of Dark Shadows? I'm thinking of buying whatever set is available as a Xmas present. The only way I'll be able to watch all of it since my cable dropped Decades (and they seem to be just repeating the one segment over and over again anyway (Decades).
  8. Who would? He might be in every scene, but the scenes aren't written in a way for the actor to dominate them.
  9. She doesn't look old in the film at all (she must've been around 50)
  10. The film is pretty good till the end. It was Joan's last film.
  11. I wouldn't say he's a bore. He has some good scenes in The Paper Chase. But the way the film is cut, he's just part of an ensemble cast. The scenes with Wagner were the weak parts of the movie. Just filler.
  12. For some reason I missed this at the time. And on TCM as well, though they've shown it a few times. Finally saw it last night. I thought Houseman was great, but the rest of the film was uneven. Seemed like stuff was left on the cutting room floor. The romance with Wagner was just too rushed. He stops over and suddenly they're in bed. You are left wondering if her stalker story was true or not also. You never see the guy. Always wondered why Timothy Bottom's career never panned out. He had a great few years in the beginning. He was talented and good looking. Seemed to fall off the grid by the late 70s. or even earlier.
  13. I'm sure he was grateful in that case.
  14. I'd forgotten Joan was very near sighted. The teleprompter would be useless for her.
  15. Wow. You probably saved its life by finding it. Did it just go with you willingly?
  16. I didn't realize Karlen wasn't the original Willie. I guess because they don't show those earlier episodes before Barnabas arrives. Haven't seen them since the show started. He owned the role. He was great.
  17. Probably because he doesn't have much interest in non-noir films.
