Well, Merle's face became tighter as she got older. Just didnt look natural to me. She probably took better care of herself too. Bette and Joan were big drinkers and smokers also.........

A lot of these older ladies visit the plastic surgeon regularly. The ones who age well, usually have help.......

I'm sure Merle had a few **** and tucks before the movie was made. I think Joan did too over the years. Not sure about Bette. Think she had her eyes done in later years, not the 60s......

I never realized Deception was a remake of Jealousy. What is the status of Jealousy? I noticed in the Youtube clip the scene was statically filmed. Is the whole movie like that? (The Letter)

I seem to remember reading in some other book that the story about "The Letter" (ironic in retrospect) was something Bette made up and it didnt happen that way. I'm unsure what really happened. I dont think the marriage would've lasted with those two high powered personalities. Wyler was looking for someone who'd be a wife and mother. Bette wasnt going to give up her career and be wife to someone (the way he wanted) Tallichet did...........

Yes, that's her. She was quite the bombshell in the 60s. She still looked good in that interview show (which, I think, was done in the 90s) I think she is/was married to some film executive......Thunderball is one of my favorite Bond films. She has a large role in it.....

LP (dont want to spell it) was one of the most memorable Bond villains in Thunderball. She also had big role in Return to Peyton Place. I remember her being interviewed in some special about Bond girls some years back (alas, Diana Rigg was not included.......maybe she was insulted at the brand.......)

I saw a tv show about those 2 guys and the lion reunion. The lion actually remembered them. Was a real tear jerker. I still have it on my DVR.

NO CALAMITY JANE? How did that happen??? I'm glad they are showing Storm Warning at least. That's the only one of her films I've never seen for some reason.......too bad they couldnt get some of her 60's Fox films (not that they're great, but would be nice to see something TCM hasnt shown before...) Whoops! Seems they are showing 2 of her 60s Fox films. Good! And Yippee! Lucky Me! I havent seen that film in ages (still not out on DVD I dont think.......)
