One thing I dont like about the film (besides the censoring) is the blonde wig they made Leigh wear. It's so phony looking. I wish they would've just dyed her real hair..........

I meant HOT as in her career is HOT. LOL. I really have no opinions about her either way. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Well, Hollywood is bankrupt of ideas. Beyonce is hot, so I can see them remaking it with a soundtrack to market with it. The music will sell. Weather the movie does is another matter.....

FINALLY saw the film. I liked it, but thought it was overhyped. The male actor was very good, but didnt think the actress deserved a nomination (at least in the actress category). Aside from the gimmick of being mostly silent, there wasnt much to it. Technically well made........and WHY did they have to rip off the music from VERTIGO? NO EXCUSE for that! The original score wasnt always original! I was shocked how much Malcom McDowall had aged (basically a cameo part!) Does anyone know the story about the guy the movie was dedicated to??? TCM has showed Blonde Venus before. It'll turn up again..........(NOT a great movie, but Marlene's musical numbers are fun!)

I missed part of 20,000 Years in Sing Sing last night. Who actually did the shooting? I missed about 10 mins (the most impt part of the movie) so I wasnt sure who was lying at the end.........

I recorded it to watch this wknd! Dont think I've ever seen it.......though it sounds familiar.....

It's kind of a trade off in Trouble in Paradise, Kay loses some jewels, but her thieving employee is exposed. So she breaks even..........

Although the story and jokes are dated. I still laugh whenever I watch it. Still very funny. Hope they show it again during DD month in April (didnt see it this time......)

A few of the Fox theaters were saved (Atlanta, Detroit and St. Louis). I have a large book on the S.F. theater, called the Fabulous Fox that is out of print and goes for hundreds of dollars if you can find it anywhere. What a showplace. Yeah, typical of just about any large metropolis in the USA. All gone. A few lucky ones saved here and there and put to theatrical use (we saved two of ours). It's a shame they couldnt have saved at least the Stanley and the Fox.............
