Until the next BIG MEDIA STORY (i.e.scandal) there wont be any let up. I hit the remote after the network news ends (before the tv rag shows start). At least the network news have gone on to other things. Dunno how they did it, but The Enquirer had a picture of her laying on the bathroom floor on their front page. Apparently they paid off someone at the crime scene. (No I didnt read it, but I saw it while waiting in the supermarket......) REAL CLASS.

I'm not so sure the movie is going to be a mega hit. (maybe the soundtrack). It's a long time till summer and all this hysteria will die down by then. Plus deaths generally tend to cast a bad luck pall over films that havent been released. Doesnt she play someone's mother in the film? Lord knows, her estate will profit greatly from her music sales (I think 5 or 6 of the top 10 on Amazon right now are Whitney CDs......)

LOL. I'm sure Nancy will be chewing on this for months to come. Between the primaries and Whitney I dont even want to turn on the news.............

The one saving grace is teenybopper idols dont last very long (there'll soon be another one......) Have seen many come and go.

This is the kind of event the rag tv shows love. They'll be all over this for weeks. One reason I dont watch them......I'm sure Nancy Grace is on it too (LOL).........

Yes. I think they were friends with benefits though. I'm pretty sure Janice Rule was another woman he almost married........(I read his memoirs about a year ago.......)

I'm bored with the whole concept. I understand why TCM does it, but just because a film has won an Oscar does not mean I want to see it (especially if I've seen it endless times......)

Angela Lansbury was definitely a very bad mama in Manchurian Candidate, and although a supporting part, that blackmailing character in Stage Fright (forget the actress) always left a bad taste in my mouth. Well, there were a lot of movies in the 30s where couples were independently wealthy and not working.......

Sadly, TCM doesnt show many of Ann Harding's films. I've only seen a few of hers. WIsh I could see Peter Ibbetson....She starred in the original Holiday and received her only Oscar nomination, but from what I've read no prints exist except in the Library of Congress or maybe Eastman House (cant remember which) Would love to see that one..........She got typecast pretty quickly as the noble suffering woman and by the mid 30s was on the wane........I read the recent biography of her and enjoyed it.... she had a wonderful speaking voice...

YAY! Out of the Past is one movie I never get tired of watching...........SO GOOD!

Yeah, but she reforms at the end (sort of) so I'd rate her a bit lower than Babs' Phyllis in Double Indemnity (rotten to the core........)

LOL. Jonny. I think I vaguely remember that one. Poor Alex! I miss that series (though it did veer off the sci-fi part in its last few seasons and I lost interest.....)
