  1. I'm sure supporting players (people like Guy Kibbee etc.) who worked at Warners could wrack up a considerable number of films to their credit if they had long careers. I dont really consider Blondell supporting as her roles were more 2nd leads and often leads too......(not supporting in the character actor/actress sense......)

  2. It really depends on the star and the amount of movies they made as well as how long the movies were. If it's someone who worked at WB in the 30s, many of their films had short running times, so more movies can be shown......16 is a good ballpark figure. But there have been SOTMS with less. And often more if they made a lot of films.........i think Grace Kelly had the least amount in my memory........

  3. I wouldnt get my hopes up too high for any appearances, but I'm hoping she will do some interviews to promote the album. The big question is WHEN is it going to be released HERE? You can order it on Amazon, but as an import...........(which I will do).......

  4. I was mistaken about Stewart Stern writing the screenplay, it was Alvin Sargent who has written his share of screenplays (including Julia and Ordinary People among many others). I wanted to check to see if the movie was REALLY THERE on the DVR last night and wound up watching the credits and a bit of the beginning. Cant wait to watch it again this wknd. Many thanks to TCM for resurrecting this gem so I can have it forever! (and no thanks to FOX for not putting it out on DVD!)

  5. There's some discussion of the movie in the Joanne Woodward thread. I caught it (had seen it many years ago) Agree. Not a good movie. But I'm glad I caught it again for reassessment (wasnt impressed the first time either on tv many years ago) At least this time I saw it in CinemaScope.........
