Mercifully my mother didnt call last night. Whew. But I'm sure I'll still get an earful the next time she does!

That's very odd that Mabel wasnt in that "marriage" episode. I wonder why? She would've added a lot more laughs. Maybe she was busy filming some other project. I do think that female lawyer WAS Whitney Blake. And she conducted business by her pool in her bikini! LOL. Forward, indeed! I cant really blame Miss B- for getting steamed about that one........What trivia one remembers!

LOL. Were those 2 blonde bimbos from Mt. Pilot? They would breeze into town occasionally and cause all kinds of problems for Barney and Andy (with Miss B- and Thelma Lou) Joyce Jameson played one of them. They were very funny..........Was it ever mentioned what sort of occupation Thelma Lou had? I dont remember it ever coming up, but I dont remember. She lived in a house so she must have had some income coming in, being single.......

OH, NO! I will be getting an earfull from my mother tonight. She has been obsessed with the case (Thank you, Nancy Grace!) I didnt even know they were deliberating already.......

Oh, I DO consider it a noir. I meant A as in GRADE A. Overall, I would give it a B. Mainly for some lacking areas in the script. The moody score does help considerably.......And it's nice to see Jean playing a bad girl......

LOL. Yeah, Mt. Pilot seemed to be swinging! I dont think they ever showed it though. I remember in Tatum's book, her mother lost several fingers. I cant remember how now. I think she sobered up in later life, but her health was bad and she died relatively young. Too bad. She was a good actress in the tv roles I saw her in. And pretty. I liked her accent too....

Finally got around to watching Angel Face or as RO says in the intro ANGELS FACE! LOL Poor RO. They must not redoo his intros unless he has a coughing fit or something......The film is pretty good, but I wouldnt call it an A noir. They should've fleshed out the stepmother character more. The acting and direction are good, but the script is lacking in spots........

Neither Tom or Julia have the B.O. clout they used to have. Eat, Pray, Love didnt do gangbusters either (compared to her earlier films). I think their heyday has passed, though I'm sure they will still work.........I saw the previews in the theater and tv and that was enough to stear me away.......have seen this story too many times..........

Tatum talked about her mother in her book. She did have a lot of problems. Very sad. The kids wound up being taken from her due to the bad living conditions they were living in. But her dad wasnt much better as a parent either............All the kids wound up messed up.......

I liked both Joanna Moore and Elinor Donahue on the show. Not a big fan of Aneta. Part of it was the writing. She was a first class b-. Then they glammed her up and I liked her even less.....The pay was probably too low and the doctors/pharmacists left for greener pastures (LOL) They did go through a lot of them........Speaking of Aneta, her big screen claim to fame, THE BLOB was on Thurs night!

There ARE people on here who complain about RO's slurring! It doesnt bother me though. (I'd be slurring too if I had to spend all day reciting that stuff.....) I just think that what has been written for him to say should be accurate. This was a mistake that could have easily been corrected. Not really a big deal in the scheme of things, but leaves me (and others) not fully trusting what RO has to say when these mistakes pop up...........

Yeah, I remember that one. (Party) I'm unsure if they actually had an episode of her moving away or they just talked about it. Elinor Donahue was on the show for at least a season (maybe two) I wonder why she left? The others were on for much shorter periods. One thing I did like about Helen was her name (Crump! Loved it!) Otherwise I considered her a pain.......Funny how no matter what Opie's age she was ALWAYS his teacher. She must've taught every grade!

OMG! I didnt realize Aneta Corsaut was dead! And has been dead for some time (1995) I never read anything about it!
