I'm hoping the response to the radio interview might leave Doris open for more. Here's hoping!

Did anyone catch her on that new Will show on cable last night (Discovery ID I think it is) Some new series about wills. Was interesting. Rehashed Joan's will and the reasons behind it. Her grandson was interviewed too and other people. Showed some home movies. I didnt realize her brother had died. One of the other sisters too.........

Yes, it is a crying shame and so frustrating. But she's entitled to her privacy. I just keep hoping she'll change her mind or get talked into it............

Just listened to the interview and she sounds great and in good spirits. Loved listening to her. According to a recent biography, she had another facelift not too long ago, so I cant believe she looks bad. But like other aging stars, I'm sure she has her insecurities and probably wants to be remembered at her peak............

Thanks for the url. I cant wait to listen to it. I'd heard about the interview. I think the big difference is they interviewed her from her home. She doesnt like to travel or make appearances. Why she wont be on TCM. It shouldnt preclude her from an honorary Oscar, I just think they dont want to give her one..............

LOL. Could be!

I've wanted to see this film for ages. Please remind us closer to the showing (I know I'll forget!) I hadnt known about the tv pilot.......
-
I recognized him right away. I'd seen him in many things, but never knew what his name was.......
-
I remember her playing herself in a brief bit in It Should Happen to You from the early 50s on some panel show Judy Holiday was on.......she still looked good then. She looked younger than Lana Turner in Madame X a decade later! (according to RO she had some tucking done before the movie, her last......) She died before the movie was released, I believe. She was only around 60 or so........

Was Fred Lumpy's father? He was a real dork! LOL.

93 today. Oddly, no movies of hers are being shown. It's all Connie Bennett. I didnt realize they were born on the same day. Hope Joan is celebrating and doing well!
-
LOL! How could I forget! It came to me later after I asked. I remember his father being a jerk and always trying to one up Ward.......
-
Her career waned in the late 30s not 40s, though she worked sporadically through the 40s. I saved enough space on my DVR to record 3 of her movies today, looking forward to watching them!

How awful about Welch. I didnt know she was married to "Larry Tate" (LOL). She looked like she could've been Jennifer Jones sister!

WOW! I hope these will appear on TCM someday..........
-
LOL. What was Lumpy's real name? I forget now (in the series)...
-
She was great in that. Steals just about every scene in Please Dont Eat the Daisies too. She never really got the big break she deserved in films........
-
Oh, I know. LOL. I should've looked it up before asking........
-
She appeared on the Tony award show several years ago, but I know nothing about where she lives. She looked good on the show (the year of the Pajama Game revival).......
-
I didnt realize Gilbert was Talbot's son. He was a cute kid..........Forgot Lyle was even on the Ozzie show!
-
LOL!!!!
I remember those sweaters!
You never saw him working. Did he ever have a job? -
****!!!!!

Here's hoping TCM does a Miriam SOTM soon. I know they'd have to deal with Universal for many of her 30's films.......and what about Sylvia Sidney? Both are long overdue.
Has Charles Boyer ever been SOTM? I dont remember him being. He deserves it too..........
