  1. i can not say enough nice things to express my wonder and delight at having seen Ms. Rainer, she is a true representative of such a wonderful golden era..........................i just kept imagining what it would have been like to have more of these wonderful creatures together for an interview with our great Mr. Osborne...it just takes my breath away!

  2. this was the most delightful item i have seen on TCM Robert Osborne was born to do this type of interview, he is such a wonderful gentleman, i really love to see him, and Ms,. Rainer what can we say, she was just so lovable and charming, i was so impressed with her that i am no longer upset that she won the Oscar instead of Garbo in 1937 (although my heart to win is still with Garbo) I think the academy should have given special attention that year to the multitude of great and deserving actresses, but i now am a fan of Ms. Rainer, simply because of her seeing her in this interview, i wish it was longer, TCM give us more of this type of programming, before all of the greats are gone as most of them are now. Again, I love Ms, Rainer and of course Robert Osborne!

  3. i totally agree, keep the old films (that we all want on TCM or we would not be watching you

you are going to lose your base audience, TCM is never going to attract "younger" audiences, they do not even watch TCM - so keep the viewing regulars happy, so TCM can have a future, keep giving us the silents, the 30's 40's and some 50's, please - that is what has made TCM great!

  4. i did see lyla it too was unwatchable.........poor Kim she was give such garbage and she was i understand one of the nicest kids to hit hollywood, and how she was treated was horrid!

  6. how TCM put such a trashy stupid unviewable film on its schedule? is it not a classic film channel?????? i could not believe my eyes at the way Miss Novak was shown in this garbage, she is no great actress of course, but she was shown as a slutty tramp? how could she subject herself to such degradation not to even mention the other 2 clowns in the film, it was so horrible, it turned it off and i never do that to any film!

  7. i agree, there are many films that are not accessible, but remember years ago, when i was a child and growing with TV, we only saw the old RKO films, so i never was exposed the the TCM library, only RKO, so these films were new to me and my age group, when i first saw Queen Christina 5 years ago, i was mesmerized, and i have been a Garbo fan ever since then- it is just like all these films have been given a new life as it were, they are as new to me as they were to my mom- whose favorite film was Camille, she is now gone, for a long time in fact and would have loved to see Camille on DVD with me, these films, hold a special meaning for me, especially Garbo and Crawford films, as i grew up hearing so much about those ladies from my long deceased mom. hope you understand.,

  8. well, why not? and why not more Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, John Gilbert, Cary Grant, Hepburn, Stanwyck, i mean we could really go on and on, Garbo is only a great start, TCM should keep in mind that TCM stands for the C- meaning Classic and the folks mentioned here certainly represent Classic - do i hear any more arguments?????????????????????????????????????????????????????/

  9. yes, sure the bimbos of today, actually take care of themselves, of course they give a great example to the youth of today, living their disgusting lives out in the open, at lease in the day of TCM's films, such things were kept under wraps, which is the way it should be!
