is anyone out there going to the Milan, Italy Garbo fashion exhibition?
-
this is by far the worst movie Hepburn ever made, it is just stupid, boring and who cares? it is a ridiculously too English movie for me! Hepburn is better in Bringing Up Baby, A Bill of Divorcement, but this film is real junk!
-
i agree with you totally, it is on far too much, as is casablanca, some like it hot, now voyager, etc. i could go on and on, with repeats, how about showing some films we do not always see................................................
-
i saw Captain Salvation and it was great, i was very much surprised and impressed!
-
wow, she is great in this as usual, Garbo, i mean, it was ahead of its time in story line and fashion, thank you TCM for the treat for us last night, Anna Christie in German, the documentary, and finally, the single standard, please give us more Garbo and silents!
-
wow, what a treat for Garbo luvers and silent lovers alike, great ahead of its time film, just look at her outfits.....pants.............what a great story, what a great lady
-
gilbert supposedly never got over Garbo......
-
in my personal opinion, this is one of the worst films i have ever seen
-
Garbo and Taylor in Camille, how much better can it get?
-
i guess we have to suggest movies like this: Anna Christie Bringing up baby romance with garbo 1930 conquest with boyer and garbo top hat flesh and devil (silent) woman of affairs (silent) mysterious lady (silent) Mata Hari (uncut and uncensored)
-
you put it so beautifully!
-
Greta Garbo, Barbara Stanwyck, Jean Harlow, Joan Crawford, etc. also many silent films should be really considered precode...check some of them out - Garbo and Crawford were in quite a few of them!
-
yes, i agreee, with gable, garbo and harlow, it would get me to buy....the first 3 volumes were ok but i do not consider any of them to be too pre-code we need that Mata Hari uncut, definitely.....only Baby Face in the first volume, i consider to be really pre-code...lets hope for the best!

I CANNOT SUGGEST A MOVIE, WHO KNOWS WHY ............ BUT WHY ARE GARBO'S FILMS ON AT OBSCURE TIMES ON TCM?
-
WHO LOVES HER IN SILENT FILMS IS SHE BETTER IN SILENTS OR SOUND FILMS YOU DECIDE
-
i still have a problem cannot request a movie on this site: I am requesting Anna Karenina with the Great Garbo
-
catch this gem of Garbo's her second sound flick, it was made for European audiences - her portrayal of Anna is much different than the English language version - she was a real gem!
-
i love Gilbert in any film
-
TCM is showing Garbo films - that is great, but please do not play Single Standard at a ridiculous time that new comers to silent films will not give it a look - it is a great film and was ahead of its time! She was wonderful in silents - and even greater in sound, but give this film a chance!
-
Every time that i watch this great film, i see it another light, it is a deep dark love story, too much for the average "scholar" today to digest, one has to be romantic, intelligent and a appreciator of true art and beauty!
