Boy! Do I EVER agree with you about the ridiculous ending to FROM HERE TO ETERNITY! I won't even show that wonderful movie to my son because of that. I try to interest him in older movies (before the 1980's)...

The most important thing you can do to improve your health is to cut out sugar from your diet. Try to stop drinking those sodas! They are like a slow poison to your system... Also, if you eat cereal for breakfast, you should probably eat only original Shredded Wheat which has no sugar. Have it with banana slices or blueberries. Too bad you can't eat yogurt. I would recommend yogurt with fruit, also. My main health program is walking. I try to walk 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week. Of course, you must work up to that. Start with 10 minutes a day about 4 days a week and work up to 30

Hmm... Didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. Should have been full size. -

I'm having a problem figuring out how to post a picture. Sorry. -
Lets name films that TCM doesn't show anymore
LittleAbner replied to NipkowDisc's topic in General Discussions
Harvey (1950) I think TCM showed it about a year ago. -
Of course the word is D-A-M-N. Can't you just hear Rex Harrison saying: "D-a-m-n, d-a-m-n, d-a-m-n, d-a-m-n! I've grown accustomed to her face!" Seriously, though, I really do agree with "riverrocks" that the 4-letter word is probably "d-a-m-n" . Just the sort of word that the grumpy old sea captain would use...

Let me know what you think about having certain genres night?
LittleAbner replied to ben42day's topic in General Discussions
Hello ben42day, I think you've got a good idea. I would like to see TCM show some more current movies, too. One genre I like is war movies and other action movies... For example: "To Hell and Back" (1955) "Hell Is For Heroes" (1962) "The Longest Day" (1962) "The Great Escape" (1963) "In Harm's Way" (1965) "The Bridge At Remagen" (1969) "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) "The Big Red One" (1979) "The Right Stuff" (1983) "The Hunt for Red October" (1990) -

Village of the Damned.... good film
LittleAbner replied to FredCDobbs's topic in General Discussions
You're right. I had not seen "All About Eve", and have not to this day. I would like to, though. Very much. I've requested it a couple of times on the "Request a Movie" page. -
Village of the Damned.... good film

I never realized how wonderful George Sanders was until I saw this movie several years ago. After seeing him in this movie, he became one of my favorite actors. -
Thank you mr6666 for mentioning the 2 hour special that will be airing on CBS on February 9. I have my DVR set to record it. I love the Beatles! :-) Thanks again!

I don't know why British actors are considered bad guys... Maybe it *is* the accent. Although, personally I love the accent. I first thought of James Mason. But then I thought of one of the greatest bad guys of all time: The great and wonderful, *Boris Karloff!*

*Topkapi* for sure...one of my all-time favorite films. Also, *A Bridge Too Far*.
