I think he was a fantastic entertainer overall. Great singer of course - I like his younger and older stuff both - and a very adept actor as well. I think his three movies with Gene Kelly are golden (but of course, I'm biased) - and his pairing with Betty Garrett in "On the Town" and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is such fun in both films.
As of late, I've been somewhat making my way down his list of films...I saw "The Tender Trap" not to long ago, and was surprised by just how funny it was overall (witty dialogue, and a brilliantly cast David Wayne and Celeste Holm). I also saw "Come Blow Your Horn" the other day...not my favorite movie by far (Tony Bill's character annoyed me to no end!), but it was fun to watch Frank being such a cad. I haven't really seen any of the Rat Pack movies, but next on my rental list is "Marriage on the Rocks" -- I'm looking forward to seeing Frank and Dino going at it.
