  1. I love watching old movies and I admire the concept of movie classics, particularly the Film Preservation Society. But to me, comedies, musicals, love stories, and especially shows about putting on shows (i.e.: That's Right -- You're Wrong -- 1939), makes entertainment as ad-nauseam as a mouthful of masticated creamed peas lodged in one's throat and migrating an odorous waft up one's palate through their nasal passeges! All these chick flicks look to me like there's an omnipotent controlling figure behind the scenes who thinks he/she knows eveything about manic depression, and that we, the galactically ignorant viewing audience should eschew action films and mysteries with Boagart, Cagney, and Garfield in favor of looking at the film world through rose colored glasses and dancing through the tulips.
