  1. okay, the first thing that drove me to gary, lets see if i can remember.....i was laying on my stomack at grandmama's house watching melody jones. heehee! i remember that CUTE grin he had. the innocent one, you know? and then his dimples reached out at me, and then when he took off his shirt, grandmama giggled and tried not to laugh too hard, and its a good thing i was laying down. heehee!

  2. hey ang!

your reaction sounds something along the lines of how i reacted and my momma did the same thing. i saw that it was on TV a couple months ago and passed right over it, i had no intention of seeing that! ew! noone can play will kane like gary did! now i wouldnt know if kathering cannon was an improvement on grace kelly. heehee!

  3. MRS. ARRIS GOES TO PARIS!!!! yes we can't forget sweet angela lansbury in that! heehee!

i love that movie! i wish they would release it on DVD then i could buy it. i have a bad quality version of it. maybe ill buy a good VHS of it on Ebay. heehee!

i loove every single one of those fims you mentioned were in Paris

i also would like to add to that list,

    An American in Paris

April in Paris (doris day and ray bolger oh definitely)

    A Scandal in Paris

    It Happened in Paris

    Paris in Spring

  4. wait a second dahlink! we have to share OUR francis! heehee! ;)

i love "mona lisa" and "unforgettable". i showed my daddy that song, "unforgettable" and he immidiately fell in love with it. now he wants to hear it first whenver i put a cd of his on the radio. he makes me skip all the songs to get to it too. goondess! heehee!

also love his version of "Stardust". of course i have two versions of that that are my favorite! i have frankie francis, singing "stardust" too with glenn miller, and tommy dorsey and benny goodman, and that version is so gorgeous. i think frankie and nat should have teamed together and sang "stardust". what a treat that would have been!

  5. oh no, where did you get the idea that i give you a guilt complex...its you who give ME the guilt complex!

im trying to be sweet, but you wont let me! heehee! dont hide, please.....puppy dog eyes alert!

see, i told you she gets mr, darcy back.

"oh if you want to be really refined you have to be dead. there's no one as dignified as a mummy." heehee!

  6. bonjour jolie croissant. heehee!

i dont think i will watch Venus ever again really. i agree that they could have made something with a little more class when they had pete AND Paris. goodness!

of course i have seen A Little Romance. ;) larry was so romantic and cute in it. but i wouldnt consider it one of my favs of larry's. it is a cute romance though and would _definitely_ prefer it over Venus.

im sure Paris wouls stela my heart. have you ever seen French Kiss? oh! one of my few fav modern movies!

  7. i would love to go to Paris. that is one of the first places i go to when i take a vacation out of the country. to see the eiffel tower, all the country side, in the middle of the city, go to some really fancy restaurants! you and me, april. a sister vacation! heehee!

i actually saw Venus, b/c it had Pete in it, but it could do without the nudity. other than that it was an interesting movie. i dont think i like it more than all hsi other movies, b/c of the subject matter if you know what im refering to april.

  8. *Bon matin, petite chou-chou! Peter was quite dashing, wasn't he? It had a marvelous script, that movie, with some really fantastic dialogue for Peter. Can't believe he's still going at it.*

    Bon Matin dahlink!!

yes peter was dashing! i grew up with this movie....im still growing up with it. heehee! my parents love watching that one all the time! the poor man must be so tired after all these years, i cant believe he's still at it either.

  9. hey metsie! thanks for those beautiful pics! i like sonja with don ameche. i dont think she ever had a bad mathc in her movies. they all fit her style......i love ty power with her in Thin Ice. i love the parts when they are skiing together! they are so cute! skiing was so much different today though. heehee!

  10.

hey dahlink, here's the Monkees singing "Pleasant Valley Sunday". its such a cool song! i love it!

i havent seen Sun Valley Serenade in a while, but i think i remember the Nicholis Brothers in it!! i have to watch it again, it is such a great musical!

  11. i watched this movie a couple weeks ago, and i loove janet gaynor's movies, but this one didnt appeal to me as much as her others do. it had an interesting plot, but what got me was her husband was cheating on her! oh no! poor janet! that girl he was seeing was really ardent about wanting him to leave her, and janet never did anything to him to deserve that.

but it was a desent silent, i would wathc it again! of course i was watching it with a frien, and he narrated it the whole time from what he saw i will never see that movie its original way again unless he narrates it for me. its too funny!.

  12. I think Greer was referring to all the British snobs at the ball. At least she makes sense.

now youre vandelizing MY precious movie!! funny, you seem to do this to all me and april's precious movies.....no more mr, nice guy, frankie! get out the boiling chocolate april!!

"To give consequence"? Now what kind of talk is that?

its beautiful talk, thats what it is!.....well when Darcy isnt poking at Elizabeth. heehee! its okay, she got back at him..i love that part!

I'm far too close-minded to watch such nonsense. Don't you know that I like films like No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood? Just take a look at this phony stuff...

do you see a pattern here? we are trying to expand your horizons...its for your own good! No Country for Old Men is a bad movie, that is a BAD influece on you.. look what it has done to you! honestly!

phony stuff!! at least my phony stuff is touching and beautiful...youre definition of good stuff is seeing a guy walking down the street with a bloody face. yucky!

  13. I never touched you, you poor soft thing. Butterscotch will back ME up on this.

wow, this is pathetic, you 2. on the other hand I don't mind when you 2 fight over my confidence. heehee.

okay sweet april, but you did push him into the chocolate, not that im on his side. heehee. but frankie neither of us left a bruise... so there.
