Let's see---how about we tie him to a chair and make him watch Pride and Prejudice, Melody Jones and The Parent Trap?
Kill me now!
that made me laugh out hysterically. heehee!
we wouldnt give you the pleasure!!
Good Evenin', ButtersweetGLORIA -- This looks to be yet another trap.
only if you see it that way. remember you have short term memory loss so you will probably forget all about it...of course you will have to awaken from unconsciousness first. heehee!
This sounds like the symptoms of a man who has just watched Pride and Prejudice.
where did gloria come from? everytime i see that i think of Gloria dehaven and i dont think you like gllria dehaven. heehee!
You would know... which is why I've been doing all I can to keep her away from you.
now how could i stay away from sweet april! she didnt do anything worth of that torture!
-
Ha haaaaa!! Theresa, you are too funny. Frank---I think we have a future femme fatale in the making. She's really very ingenuous in thinking of ways to torture a man.
"yeah, yeah, thats just what i was thinking." heehee!~frankie you should be able to know what that quote is from.
I'm just playing, T. And I think you're right about the cheese---there's entirely too much of that in him already. Let's see---how about we tie him to a chair and make him watch Pride and Prejudice, Melody Jones and The Parent Trap?
yes too much cheese in him, bab idea! i think your idea is perfect!! yes we will tie his neck to the chair so his head will stay straight and that way he will have to watch pride and prejudice! but it cant be just any version...it has to be greer's and larry's!

It's The Parent Trap.
heehee! good one!

ha! Maybe he's so fond of chocolate he doesn't want to come out. We'll have to tempt him with something better than chocolate.
woopsy daisies, you may be right sweet april! ooh how about cheese fondu? thats hot enough...oh, but nevermind, he likes cheese....well wait....maybe if he inhails too much chocolate he will get sick enough for him to go unconscious and then we can pull him out andgag him with a cupcake? heehee! im getting woozy just thinking about chocolate. yuck! im sorry frankie darlin', but this is too fun!

You're welcome, Theresa. It's funny how grown men become children over their "toys". I'd hate to be Cary Grant if Lee Marvin got upset at me for wrecking his train. It might turn ugly!
yeah i could quite agree. lee marvin was rather concentrated with his little choo choo train as was cary with his beep beep beep. poor jeanne had to put up with it and it was just too much for her so she ran to the bedroom. poor baby! goodness.
this reminds me of another certain someone on here that we seem to have push into a vat of boling chocolate. has he recooperated yet? have you seen him around or did he drown? heehee!

-
oh april! thank you so much, i love the train scenes!! they are the best at showing train playing in movies. it just makes you giggle. it made me giggle! i could really picture cary playing with train sets in real life with lee marvin. what a site, and then something would inadvertently brake and they would be blaming it on each other. couldnt you just see it? heehee!
-
ooh ooh! how about "pistol packin' mama"! i love when gary sings that. heehee!
-
how exciting!!! happy second anniversary to all cooper troopers!! heehee!
thank you kyle for letting us know!

and my favorite. heehee!

-
hey chandler! what news!! i did not know this, and am looking forward to getting it. i cant wait!!!
i still havent seen Love is News and do wish too soon, now i can!! oh goodie goodie gumdrops!!
-
I love that scene, too! Who knew a dairy could be so romantic??
movie magic does wonders. heehee! whoever thought a graveyard would be romantic?
-
I have never seen People Will Talk (although it was recommended to me by MISS Floozy) or Goodbye, Mr. Chips (although it was recommended to me by Meanie Mint).
well that just shows us how much you want to expand YOUR horizons. heehee!
There are a few, ahem, ladies on this board who need this:
frankie!!how indecorous of you!

i can vouch for the irish temper. im very irish. oh dear me!
you know that one little scne is the reaon my mother doesnt like this movie too much. she doesnt mind it except for that one scene. heehee! she doesnt like any clark gable movies or Duke movies, b/c they can get so "violent" on their leading ladies, usually slapping or spanking them to get them into shape....i think that is hilarious!
-
oh frankie!! the wedding dress scene! i love the wedding dress scene, and lee playing with his choo choo set!!! goodness that put a smile on my face. alright everyone hop on the choo choo set and here we go!
choo choo cha boogie! heehee!
april is right, shades of cary grant and his train set in People Will Talk. now that movie was a change for me, i was so used ot seeing jeanne as the sweater girl next door and she isnt exactly the girl next door in this one and i love the teaming of cary and her and thought they did very well in that movie!
i think my favorite scene in People Will Talk is when cary corners her in that room and she is trapped to where she cant move and it is such a romantic scene!

Theresa--something funny that always struck me about this movie. Besides The Quiet Man, it always makes me think of The Parent Trap! I guess it must be the prim Boston lady-meets- roughneck plot. Elizabeth Allen's character is alot like Maureen O'Hara's in TPT---both ladies need considerable loosening up and have to travel "West" before it can happen.
this is so weird! i aslo thought of The Parent Trap, it makes me think of a combo between this one and Goodbye, Mr. Chips. the same thing with mr. chips. he was this tightened up teacher who need a little fun, to get away and "travel west". heehee! what a combo i know.
they are all the same character wit hthe exception that mr. chips was a man and a teacher. heehee! that not might not make any sense does it?

The Goddess is right, I'll eat the licorice.
yuck! honestly! cheese, peanut butter, chocolate, and now licorice! heehee!
thank you so much for those screen pics, i love them together in that movie and that is actually another of my favorite scenes. my eyes have to always be on the screen when watching this movie. i can never do anything else while it is on, b/c i will get too distracted. its like watching Valley of Decision of HGWMV! heehee! i love the kissing pics more by the way. those are always the best and alway bring a tear to my eyes.

-
He ate the licorice! What'll we do?!!
ew! brave man, i would stay away from that nasty stuff. heehee! um..i see some fishing string over there, that should hold him!

Much as I hate to admit it, I can empathize with Amy for being mad at him. My first reaction is to say ?It?s Gary Cooper, don?t leave him?, but if you look at them as characters and not the real people they are, her reaction is justified. She?s young and just married a man she loves very much (although she doesn?t know him as well as she thinks) and in her mind she can?t understand why he wants to stay and face grave danger when they could just go and hide somewhere. He tries to explain that the bad guys would just follow them and they?d end up running and looking over their shoulders the rest of their lives. She?s not getting through to him so she threatens to leave him. I think they are both stubborn and can?t get the other one to understand their side so Amy walks out of the office and buys a train ticket out of town. Will can?t follow after her b/c he doesn?t have much time to try and get a posse together and he may also be thinking her threat to leave is an empty one made in the heat of the argument.
oh i thought the complete opposite ang. i even looked through to the character on one observing of the movie awhile ago, though it was difficult. heehee! if i loved a man, i ould stand by him, especially if it was what Will was doing. he was doing the brave thing and she didnt understand that as much as he did. especially since noone else in the whole town would help him, would i stand by him.....although i agree with the sentence you said, "I think they are both stubborn and can?t get the other one to understand their side so Amy walks out of the office and buys a train ticket out of town.". they are indeed very obstinate and have their own opinions on the matter and i could see how it would be difficult for her to understand what he was doing and it would be difficult for him to see that she could not understand.

Chocolate? Somebody has chocolate?
chris, we'd let you have some chocolate, but it is now contaminated by frankie darlin' over there. heehee! you can have some anyway by all means, help yourself, but i'd let me and april make a new batch just for ya so it isnt so contaminated.

-
Don't let him escape, T! Get the giant popsicle stick ready and will ride him out of town on it and dip him in chocolate.
quick! first tie him up with the licorice to the popsickle stick and then we'll dunk him overboard. heehee!
-
april do you have that vat of boiling chocolate ready? he's back!

Absobloominlutely! That's part of the brainwashing, making sure he knows which version is best.
indubidably!!! we have to make surely he knows which version he is to watch. he cant just watch any ol' version, it ha to be the original...the best! welll doesnt it april? of course! heehee!
