  1. I wonder why you thought of me? Could it be my sick fascination with watching him handle a gun? No that couldn?t be it.

well i wouldnt call it a "sick" fascination, but it comes pretty close. heehee!

I have never seen those!! (Crosses fingers behind her back.)

;) well at least you were honest.

  2. it WAS popular, or at least it seems to have been. my papa(momma's daddy) remembers watching it when he was my age and younger. his brother came down here from new york last week for easter and they all had this conversation about their tv sets and how they knew the first family in their whole neighborhood to get a tv set. i asked them what kind of shows they used to watch and jackie gleason and loretta young were at the top of the list! heehee! i just had to tell her i knew all about them. heehee!

  3. hey april!! guess what i found on youtube!!! it made me think of you and me!

it is dana wynter on the Hitchcock Hour in "An Unlocked Window". i just watched it, and she gives an absolutely fantastic and powerful and very believing performance!! april, alfred wasstaring at me at the beginning, he gave me a fright! heehee!

you would like it too fankie darlin'.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y-EJxUVjYro ....this is part 1.

  4. i love the part when lee marvin plays with his train and dorothy lamour walks in with the wedding dress and he doesnt notice. heehee!

thats funny we love the same scene between them, i also love the ending scene where he chases after her. it DOES remind me of that grave-yard scene from tHe Quiet Man!! thats my favorite scene! thats too weird, heehee!

His expression when he saw her figure in that bathing suit was so funny. He didn't think they grew that way in Boston.

i dont think he ever thought thart especially on his first impression of her leaping off the boat at the beginning. heehee!

  5. i wish there were more like this too. they are each so special to me anyway. ;) i like those ones with bobby driscoll too. she did a fantasitc job with those parts especially.

i love the "earthquake" episode. i love how she loves her husband so much that she does all that stuff for him when the earthwuale occurs. she works so hard and i think that is so beautiful! he would have done the same for her!

i had read something about a man telling the studio to get that horrible catholic woman off the tv every week. when i read that i was shocked and amazed!! how could someone say this about loretta?

  6. it is! i just love the relationship between the duke and elizabeth allen!

i love that scene where they are in the boat and she has that potato sack bathing suit on and then starts stripping into a tighter bathing suit and the duke is looking on at her in awe! its so funny and then they race to shore and he pulls out a soaking wet cigarette and says, "got a match?". she feels the bathing suit, "oh gee"....i love that scene. me and grandmama love laughing together to that movie!

  7. okay here are a few pics of gary, and they have probably been onm here already, but i cant help but drool over them and i dont think any of us girls mind do we? heehee!

  8. hey april!

i have the first and second seasons of "The Loretta Young Show" and i could be asking the same question. she should have been more known for her work on this show. it was so beautiful and one of the best i have ever seen so far. her performacnes in all these little mini dramatic movies are proof that she was a great actress! she should have garnered more emmys for her work on this project! :)

  9. Don't you know your Greer Garsons? Ohhhhh, nooooooo! I'm turning wishy-washy. Darn that Theresa! Have I told you just how much I dislike that sneaky troublemaker?

wow! april push him in, push him in quickly before he makes me cry! heehee! where's my hanky?!

  10. I don't know who these Mary and Louise people are; all I know is he tried to leave me and I cried and cried until he changed his mind .

heehee! angie they are greer garson and jessica tandy's characters from Valley of Decision. ;) gregory peck is paul scott. heehee! and a cute one at that.

  11. OK Sweet T, just let me first clean out the cauldron from that last batch of Poison Spell.

okey dokey, dont take too long sweet april. he might run away. make up a new batch as soon as possible, we wanna knock him out first. heehee!

  12. See, I can be nice.

    when you want to be.

No way! I speak the truth. Whoever is in those nightmares has a keen sense of

you and your sneakiness. That's probably why they don't like you. Or it's because

you sing Celine Dion too darn much and that you are being badly influenced by the

    "A" girls.

wel you missed your chance. it fell right down my cheek frankie and its all your fault! heehee! i could never sing to much celine dion. i think gary would love it if i sang some celine dion to him. heehee!

Ohh, I don't know. You never can tell what those crazies are gonna do. I think

Smithy buried Paula in the courtyard.

he what?! my goodness, you are really trying to make poor smithy jack the ripper! he is far from that. he loves paula and vice versa!

I haven't watched Love in the Afternoon so I stopped reading your weepy

words once I read "at the end." I'll fast-forward through that part, though. I learn

    from the best.

no you cant fast-forward through the best scenes frankie. the only time i have fast-forward tghrough any movie is because it is a bloody part or it is too bad that i dont like it.

Yes, I saw my sweet, darling, angelic, little lambchop sitting in the hotel lobby all ALONE.

A real man would never do such a thing to his beautiful bride on their WEDDING DAY.

    How cruel and heartless.

you will say anything for the benefit of miss impassive wont you? even if she IS a bad actress. heehee!

Amy did, but Will didn't. Will loved the town more than Amy.

oh is that why he was worrying about her safety and concerned at how she was acting toward his BRAVE actions? heehee!

Louise was going to win custody. You saw how much she loved little Paulie. Paul

was mean to his son, forcing him into the steel business. He's just a boy! And

Homewreckin' Mary only wanted to sleep with Paul's money. You saw how fancy

she dressed all the time. Louise wore her homemade clothes.

no she wouldnt!!! she shoved paulie around when he got in the way. he wanted to give his mommy a hug at times but she was above that sort of thing. the meanie! didnt you see paulie's face at the steel mill? he loved being there! mary admitted that she didnt care for their money. when mrs. scott offered her her share of the mill, mary said she DIDNT need it. "i have me own little dress shop. i dont need the money really i dont". ring any bells? honestly! ;) thats because mary made her own dresses, louise had no imagination and bought her stuff. heehee!

Who? Never heard of her before.

here we go again! okay april whenever you are ready, we can push him into the boiling vat of chocolate!

thank you for the loverly compliment, i love you enthusiasm too! i dont find many people who love babs' movies as i do. i dont like her views on ANYTHING, but i just love her voice and her movies! heehee!

  16. oh i forgot to comment on On a clear Day You Can See Forever!

i love this movie althought people have explained it as being rather an odd movies. i thought it was so cute with lots of funny parts. i just love the songs in it. but it would never show anywhere on tv and grandmama had such a bad wquality copy on it on YHS so i just bought it. heehee!

i love the part she is listening to her own voice on those tapes and she is to the part where she hears herself telling him her name and it takes her a while and she shouts it out loud and it makes her jump. that is so funny and i love that song, "what did i have that i dont have", and "love with all the trimmings", and "go to sleep"...thats a cute one as well.

  17. i also love the Match-maker and had seen that one before i saw Hello, Dolly!, but i just grew more toward Hello, dolly!. i guess it was because me and grandmama loved watching lovey dovey musicals and this is one we love watching together. heehee! but i do love the shirley booth one as well. ;)

i have a hard time picking which song from Funny Girl i like best, seeing as though i love every one.
