  2. oh my goodness! thanx april!!! i dont have that one of walter, and maureen!!! woohoo. i love this movie to death, it is too cute, and edna may oliver is so funny in it too! i bet you knew i would comment on this one. heehee!
  3. i completely agree with you maureen, and this author. i have really wanted to see this new book, but i havent been to barnes and noble for a long time. i really need to though . heehee! i cant wait to read this. it looks good. and she should be remembered for all uyear roung instead of just at christmas. they also play come to the stable a lot at christmas time too. i have her tv christmas movie she made in the eighties and she won a golden globe for, Christmas Eve. it is so good!!! but that really isnt the point. heehee! i mean, she has so many great movies that should be remembered more than they are right now, and she was so talented!!
  4. heehee! well im glad she has spurred you on! she and my daddy are the ones who got me into organizing when i was real little and i have been that way ever since. keep finding those great movies!!! i havent seen She Had to Say Yes in such a long time, but i dont have it recorded so i cant watch it. banana oil! heehee!
  5. http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=InV6g9cYSvA this is one of my favorite musical numbers ever from Hit the Deck. ALL THOSE SAILORS!!!! give me a minute so i can breathe. heehee! plus one of my fav annie miller numbers!!! Message was edited by: butterscotchgreer
  6. http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=C8-jVEIv1a4 here is the clip of that song i love from three daring daughters with jose iturbi.
  7. hey maureen! i was actually planning on recording that one of hers too in fact. i cant wait to see it, b/c i have good reviews on this one. it doesnt look like my usual cutsie, sappy movie, but i am gonna watch it anyway. heehee! i hope frankie, and you and me enjoy watching it.
  8. i have never seen "bonjour triessee". i love david niven, so i have been wanting to ask her if she has it, but im borrowing the Comancheros, and the Three Godfathers right now from her, and after i watch those, i will ask her about that one.
  9. oh i love that duet she does with jeanette macdonald, and with gordon mccrae. there is also a duet she does with vic damone in Hit the Deck that i absolutely love. she had such a charming sprano voice, and i love singing her songs while the movie is playing. i didnt catch the time she had star of the month, but then again when they did that for her, i was five years old, and just getting into old movies so that might be why. heehee! thistle down, do you like the song she sings with jose iturbi at the piano in their house, when he gets very confused, b/c she doesnt know who he is? i keep forgetting the name of that song, but it is one of my favs.
  10. angie!! woohoo! those are some of the best screencaps i have seen of gary, heehee! of course i love your screen caps too frankie furter. and brendan doesnt really notice me. we talk a lot, and he has a gorgeous smile, but i dont really think he knows im alive half the time. heehee!
  11. heehee! im gonna bet that you two come on here at the same time. that ought to be a lulu!! i love that sog angie, i cant wait to see this new slideshow!
  12. i love jane powell movies!!! her voice is so pretty. i wish tcm would dedicate month to her, oes anybody agree with me? she was wonderful in *Seven Brides for Seven Brothers*, which is one of her well known ones, but she was also wonderful in *Two weeks with Love*, which isnt so well known like it should be. i love her in *Hit the Deck*, *Three Daring Daughters*, *Royal Wedding* with that rediculously wonderful song she sings with freddy astaire....."How could you believe me when i said i loved you, when you know i'ver been a liar all my life". it makes me giggle. she was in so many cute movies that should be more well known than they are today. from my two weeks with love. aawwwww! 13. oh my goodness! i listened to jo stafford's version of pistol packin' mama as least 50 times today. heehee! i love it, i only wish i couldve gotten the andrews sisters version of it. heehee! okay okay it was only a suggestion to talk the nasty guy. heehee! ill never bring it up again. scouts honor, although i dont know if that would work, b/c i have never been a scout. heehee! nowi am gonna look up that jo stafford song, b/c it sounds too cute!
  14. oh im so sorry about that nasty guy at work. i cant believe him! cant you go up to him and say, "excuse me, but do you mind stopping that?" politely or something. it cant hurt or can it? oh banana oil! heehee! gee! i cant concetrate worht a flip either, i keep picturing him in the water during class. it is horrible. heehee! plus brendan sitting right next to me isnt helping either, b/c i keep concentratting on him too!!! oh my goodness...he talked to me again today, a lot. i thought i would melt. literally. heehee!
  15. maureen, i got to see Beloved Infidel finally, and thought it was pretty good. i didnt think he performance was as good as it was in Heaven Knows Mr. Allison, but it was still pretty good. gregory peck always looks so cute, so i was happy to him in here, heehee!
  16. i just jad to scan this pic of greer accepting the crown for being queen of radio city music hall. 13 of her movies played there for a total of 83 weeks. i wasnt the least bit surprised when i read that in her bio. isnt it just a beautiful pic?!
  17. oh april i love that line!!! "honesty is a greatly overrated virtue, silence in this case would have been more agreeable" i love that part and always say it out loud when she does. heehee! yeah it is a shame about lucy and desi, it is one of my fav pics of them together.
  18. sure ill bring it over angie, when is my next visit? heehee! ill also bring that tcm scene it game for us to play. the next hockey game you can go to is coming soon if you want to. yeah i loved watching that little home movie, and there are lots motre home movies on the judy garland show episodes, now i am gonna have to go through all of them to see if gary is in them. heehee! although the one i was watching had martha raye and peter lawford and rich little also as guest stars, but when i bought it, that very disc was some what defective and it pauses somewhere in it, so i always have to skip to the next scene unfortunately. i hate it and always wonder what i missed on that episode. it makes me so flustrated. heehee! no worries though the part with gary is unharmed. he is so handsome in it, as he is falling off the boat into the water, you can see those biseps flaring heehee!
  19. i know people should recognize more that freddy was famous before ginger too, with his sister. i love them together. they are too cute, but i looove him with ginger too.
  20. the **** quaker. heehee! that is so true april, they should have done that.
