heehee funny you mentioning soda fountains maureen!!! before my papa went int othe air force, he was a soda jerk at a soda fountain diner. he has told me all kinds of stories of the different kinds of sodas he made. he knows i love hearing about them. yeah april, that combo make me stand on end, but she falls alseep easily and if she doesnt have that frappaccino, or like 6 cups of coffee in the morning, she falls right to sleep.

hey april! ya know i thought the exact same thing when i saw who was in the movie. i said to myself, oh this will be a pip, b/c shirley and ronnie are in it, but no i saw a light drama instead, although i liked it all the same that way...and wouldnt ya know it, i noticed how great of a physique ronnie had too. heehee! now i didnt like Fort Apache so much, even though it had shirley in it, but i love her in Ill Be Seeing You, and esp in Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer. i just found it odd that they made shirley marry and ronnie at the end. i really wasnt expecting that.

its official frankie! we dont just think....we know that you post thos pics on purpose to make us fall to the floor. heehee! i love him in On Dangerous Ground, but it is such an emotional movie and boy do i pull that hanky out and soak it in tears when i see this movie!!!! heehee!

im glad you agree dan! i dont like the black and white movies that were rereleased in a colorized version. like i have seen a clip of the colorized version of Pride of the Yankees and Its a Wonderful Life, My Man Godfrey, which you were just speaking of, and a few more, but i dont like them one bit, and have actually seen a colorzed pic of a scene in Mrs. Miniver, bc they released a colorized version of that too, and it looks terribly fake! i dont think i ever want to see Mrs. Miniver in color. i like to watch them as nature intened..in black and white. heehee! i love saying that.

april, the king and four queens was one of the first ones i saw with her too, after i grew up with he in The Sound Of Music. heehee! i seem to remember a movie with her that i saw when i was really young, but i remember it vaguely and i cant find the name of it anywhere. maybe someone on here can remember it. maybe it wasnt even eleanor who was in it, but i was almost possitive, b/c i remember running to momma saying, "grandmama showed me a new movie with the mean baroness lady" heehee! she was the mother in it and she had a daughter and a think a son, and her husband had been wounded for some reason and he was a little out of his mind, and she tried to help him, and he ended up hurting her on accident or something like that. and their daughter had these ice skates and their was a lot of ice skating in it. i remember my grandmama saying that it was called, The Girl With The Silver Skates or something, but i looked it up on imdb.com and couldnt find it anywhere, and it didnt come up when i looked up her name. anyway, that is all i remember about it, so if anyone knows about this movie please tell me. yeah i love the movies eleanor did with rob taylor, aka bushrod gentry as i like to call him. heehee! i like the Valley of the Kings they did together, and they did another one, but i havent seen that one yet, and am looking forward to it some time when and if it comes on in the near future. -

Bushrod gentry (many rivers to cross). everytime i think of robert taylor, i hear eleanor parker clling to BUSHROD! heehee! and then i hear him saying, mary stewart chern! heehee! they are too cute! i used to know russ tamblyn as gideon from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers when i was little and then i saw him in West side Story, was that a surprise!! heehee! i also used to know eleanor parker as the mean baroness until i saw her in the Very Thought of You. -
this was just on yesterday and it was one of the very few i hadnt seen of ronnie reagan's and shirley temple's movies. i thought it was cute in most parts, but it was sad in some parts too, i would like to hear other comments on this movie. johnnykins from Margie(conrad janis) was in this, but he was kinda on the stuck up side and i didnt like him in it. i always look for jean porter in movies and i loved her in this one as shirley's best friend. i mostly love her in Twice Blessed with the Wilde Twins and in Bathing Beauty with essy Williams and Red Skelton.
