*Yes, there are a lot of people here who look like mummies and ghouls.* *Many of the women look like grown-up Mandy Pepperidges from ANIMAL HOUSE.* its that way here in austin...why do you think there are bumper stickers everywhere possibly in sight that say, "Keep Austin weird!" goodness, that about explains it. we feel your pain bronxie. -

hey bronxie!! wow! i think i would have peed my pants with you. AAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! thats a pretty ugly face. *But it was also her witch costume that creeped me out as well. I've always been terrified of them since Beulah the Witch on the old Kukla, Fran and Ollie Show back in the day. That puppet was SCARY!!* oh my goodness! momma told me about that show. she said it was a silly show, but i could have sworn she said the same thing about that puppet oddly enough. i think it freaked her out too, and its sort of an inside joke between her and one of her friends...everytime they get together they try and freak each other out with that silly puppet. i never understood why, but once they even scarred me accidentally when they were aiming for each other. goodness! ill never forget that day. *Oh, I never eat broccoli or cauliflower stems, either, ugh. Because, of course, they look like BRAIN STEMS!!!* now youre really freaking me out!! i dont think ill ever eat any part of brocolli or cauliflower again! yucky!! well on the other hand,.....he looks friendly enough. heehee! -
*I like over-the-top too when it's done right. Like Johnny Depp in the Pirates movies. Ahoy ahoy! Or Elsa Lanchester in almost everything she was in.* yeah that drunken effect, seems to be very attractive and funny. he always makes me laugh as a drunk guy. that bloody pirate! heehee! the only movie where i thought elsa lancaster didnt over-the-top act, was in Mary Poppins. but she did it perfectly! pirate: I'm gonna teach you the meaning of pain. Elizabeth: You like pain? Try wearing a corset. me favorite line savvy!

heehee! angie, every time you post that picture it makes me giggle so hard! i see him with that serious face on and then you look behind him and there's this very fake looking rock wall. just his face makes that picture so humorous....nevertheless, he can make anything look gorgeous. heehee! so what did you think of my list?

*Do you feel he was over the top in Rebecca ?* goodness, thats a tough question michaela.... well i have to say that i do love Olivier in his shakespear roles, except Hamlet. they just made him look so weird in that movie, and i could never get used to it. heehee! but otherwise great acting....Rebecca was something different for me when i was growing up. it was made to be very dramatic, so i think he just tried his best to portray his character and did a bang up job on his part. but i like over the top performances when they are perfection and have to get every detail right. but that may very well just be me.

i just posted them! go take a look, the computer finally let me on the gary thread. im so happy. heehee!

*Have any of you seen Chaplin's "A Woman of Paris"? I highly recommend it. I believe Chaplin gave Menjou his break- he had been a Broadway star, I think. Anyway, he is so good in it, I just love his performance. He and Edna Purviance are really wonderful together, and he is just what you would want him to be - dapper, charming, roguish, and good natured. The movie itself is quite brilliant, well worth looking at. I liked it tremendously.* hey jackie!! yes i have seen this and i loooove that movie just as you do. it gave Adolf Menjou a great break and i think he and Edna should have made more movies together, but they were only in that one together. they had good chemisty in my eyes! and look how cute they were! great pictures jackie!

*Disney World doesn't sound so bad. Some of the best churros I ever had were the ones I had at Disney parks. Do you like churros ?* what is a churro? heehee! -
i watched *The Houskeeper's Daughter* this morning, getting ready for school and loved it! it was so cute and i loved Joan Bennet's performances and well as Adolf Menjou. i liked how it ended, in a very playful way with them all crying to the tear gas. how funny! but then again, they didnt have them kissing in each other's arms at the end of it. banana oil! heehee! I can't even remember.* yep, its a tin. but i dont wanna ruin the beautiful smell trapped in it. such a hard decision....but it would take some pretty good tea to fill it again. heehee! how many cuppas are you on today? im on my 2nd. -

*Happy post-Halloween, theresa! Glad you had fun.* *Since I was a kid, I've never liked cauliflower because it reminded me of BRAINS! It still does.* *I was quietly at home that night sipping apple cider and watching TCM.* *My friend and neighbor Marie knocked on my door unannounced in a witches costume and a horrifying ghoul face mask with glowing red eyes.* *She let out a huge GROWL and I nearly peed in my pants.* heehee! thats so funny! it does look like brains....when i eat broccoli in itself, i NEVER eat the tree part of it, i only eat the stems and only when they are mushy. heehee! wow! if my neighborhood friends did that i WOULD have peed in my pants. goodness! talk about scary. did they have fake blood running down their mouths? yucky!!
