*I want what you've been drinking!* well i wouldnt drink it if you were going to work the next morning. heehee! have you ever rtied one of those 5 hour energy shots that have only 4 calories in it? dont everdrink one! i drank one to excercise at the gym with daddy yesterday and it kept me wired until way more than just 5 hours! heehee! and i even excercised from 2:30 until 4:30 non-stop. it was really fun, especially when you drink one of those things, but i dont think i will need one of those again for a while. they scare me. heehee! *I knew you would have seen it. Let's hope they do show it again soon. They actually* *played it on the big screen here in NY a couple of years ago and I missed it.* oh my goodness! and you missed it? shame on you! heehee! thats such a cute movie, i think it would be so beautiful on the big screen. i just hope gene will forgive you for this. heehee! i bet she will. *How is your Elizabeth Bennett costume coming along?* i cant find a pattern for my Elizabeth Bennett, but when i went to that sight, i wanted one of each!!! they are so beautiful! grandmama would be so proud of me if i actually bought one of those....i loved the ball gown and the gathered cotton dress at the bottom..... the yellow day dress was so cute too, but it would clash with my skin. i wish they made it in green, blue or red. heehee! i should really just make my own pattern for it, but i dont have the time to make one right now.....ill have to make a pattern for next year's Halloween so i can really dress up like Elizabeth! i cant wait!

*Hello there, Helen fan* no, no silly! im still greer fan number 1! heehee! but helen has a pretty close 2nd. heehee! *Well, you know, she was weak. She couldn't get a sound out of that horn so she had to be a girl and use some sort of trickery to get a guy to do it for her---oh, and what a line, "It takes a strong man to blow a lusty blast," wow what guts to say something like that ---but of course he falls for it because she's a girl.* thats the best way to fall in love with someone. *And don't forget that scene when she's leaving Nanny Webster's cottage and she yells out "IF YOU DON'T APOLOGIZE, I'LL NEVER SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN," and he doesn't answer because he's still embarrassed on account of that other girl, that ole busybody and blabbermouth Nanny Webster spilling the beans about the rose...so not hearing anything Babbie goes, "WELL, DID YOU APOLOGIZE?," and he yells back, "NOOOO!" and the she says, being just a girl that she is, "YES, YOU DID. I HEARD YOU," and then she stomps out and he thinks to himself, hey wait a minute, I did not no how apologize, and then he goes after her, just what she wanted him to do. She tricks him again...but what else can you expect from a girl.* i love that scene, the first time i saw it, i couldnt help but guffaw to it! i couldnt stop for five minutes.. it was too cute, "yes you did, i heard you!" but he didnt say anything really, and she was just tryingto get him to follow her. a genius i tell you, a genius that helen is. oh come now, its like you have never seen a guy do that to a girl. its not only girls doing that. i have seen it the other way around. just not as often. *Wonderful! And, ooooh, how a guy hates that, to sit there and have his lovey-dovey feelings put out there with the object of his affections sitting right there and learning it for the first time, ouchy! The scene is so well written, though. ('Course the Minister might not think so )* i think its rather cute to watch that happening. i love it when the guy or even the girl gets tripped up by having their feelings put out in front of the other inadvertently and then they realize each other's affections. *I think she loved him from the get-go* whatever gave you that impression? heehee! could it be one of the frist scenes when she runs up and kisses him for utterly no reason? yeah that might do it.....heehee! i just felt like going up to him myself and giving him a kiss on the cheek. heehee! did you love the scene where he finds her sitting on the rock fake crying like she had lost her way? he asks what her name is and she stops crying for a second and says, "its just babbie, im not married yet." i love it! he doesnt suspect a thing. gavin:"this sweetheart of yours.....are you to be married to him?" babbie: "yes.....unless i can find someone else i like better." and she just looks at him until he gets it and it totally flies over his head. or he makes it seem that way anyway at first. then he gets it later on. such a cute man! *Yeah, right If I could write just one poem as pretty as that one in my whole life, I would consider it a career!* you can, without trying in surely of it. try it! *We may have to call you BabbieScotch once in a while as a reminder.* how silly, johnny on the spot. heehee! *Whoa, is this a girl pirate a la Butterscotch? I'd better git goin'.* nevermind, my hands were shaking so much when i drew it, that it fell into the ocean. maybe i better get goin'. you might like The Changeling, and Coming Through, and Blue Remembered Hills of helen's movies. im surely you would like more, but thats all i can think of atthe moment. Blue Remembered Hills Into my heart an air that kills From yon far country blows. What are those blue remembered hills? What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content. I see it shining plain. The happy highways where I went, And cannot come again. "It is the spring of 1943 and seven children play in a remote area in England's West Country. The end of World War II is still two years away and a nearby prison camp houses Italian prisoners of war. There is an ominous feeling in the air as these children spend an innocent afternoon playing childhood games. Their carefree lives will end that day when a harmless prank turns deadly. Traditionally, the children in Blue Remembered Hills are played by adults in this Dennis Potter play. In this 1979 TV version the women (Helen Mirren as Angela and Janine Duvitsky as Audrey) are generally more believable than the men but by the end all are credible as children. Mirren is, as usual, first-rate as are Duvitski and Colin Jeavons as 'Donald Duck'. A must for all Mirren fans, if only to see her in pigtails, anklets and Mary Janes." Coming Through i have not yet seen this one, but every one of my fellow helen mirren friends reccomends it to me saying its a very romantic old english movie. "A middle aged woman (Alison Steadman) goes to Nottingham to study DH Lawrence, there she meets a young man obsessed with the author. We also see flashbacks of the life of DH Lawrence (Branagh) and his relationship with his wife, Frieda (Helen Mirren)" oh i just remembered another one..The Country Wife in the box set. its an interesting movie, rather i thought it ws weird at first, but it is set in the george washington times and helen plays this really really innocent young girl who has just become a wife to a middle aged man and he keeps her in his house away from other village men, b/c she is so beautiful, but there is a player among them who knows all. he figures out this man has a new beautiful wife so he does everything he can possibly think of to see her. when he does see her, she immidiately falls for him. but she was so sheltered and innocent that she didnt know it was wrong to love another while she was married to this other man who she didnt love at all and was forced into marrying. there is no abuse in this story, but rather a lot of humor from the characters talking to the audience at times. sometimes the characters will pause the play and talk to the camera as if explaining things and that is when the humor comes out....its actually really funny, but i just didnt like the plot all that much. she was in so many shakespear movies, that they introduced her into the shakespear hall of fame and she also has the laurence olivier award. she was even in Macbeth..i haventseen it, but i couldnt imagine how that was like. goodness me! null

Kiss* *of Death, on the other hand, and Rings on Her Fingers, both on recently but rarely shown* *and I missed them.* Rings on Her Fingers is a great movie, very cute and romantic. Gene Tierney is lying about her life to Henry Fonda, whom she meets and uses to committ what is basically stealing, but then they fall in love and she confesses her love for him and then everything gets fired up when she tries to fix the situation just so she can be happy with him.....SIGHS!!! itll come on again soon i hope so i can record it. i keep missing it when it comes on too, and i have a really old VHS with it, so im waiting. hey frankie-loverly-furter! *hey now!!! thats what i get for calling you a gentleman, i should have known you* *would try to spoil my dreams. heehee!* *You're a princess... a mean one.* i am not! i thinik i have you figured out, you are doing that just so you can see my puppy dog pout, but it wont work. ill never give in! heehee! maybe..... *I didn't say you liked them, Spice Girl. michaela! *Yes, having a good mornin' so far, still catching up with the Lombard movies.* which ones have you caught so far? *And I don't think there's anything wrong with asking questions.* well i agree, but angie seems to think there comes a time when questions are a stretch. isnt that right ang? *This isn?t one of his that I rewatch very often, mainly b/c I?m not much of a Miriam Hopkins fan. It is a funny movie though and I?m sure seeing it on a big screen with a bunch of other people will make it even more enjoyable. I'm not complaining though, I'll watch anything they want to show of his, even The Fountainhead .* i must say i thoroughly agree.....the first mariam hopkins movie i watched at grandmama's house was The Old Maid where she was bette davis's sister and from then on, i couldnt watch a movie of hers without turning up my nose at her, b/c of the way her character was portrayed....is that pathetic or what? heehee! but i dunno, everything i read about her, she always seemed to me like a diva and sort of snooty. so when i saw Design For Living, i was on pins and needles the whole time wanting her to be out of the movie. but i delt with it, so i could see gary speak french on the train. heehee!

*I think I have finally calmed down (well mostly ) after seeing this morning that one of our cool theaters in Austin that occasionally shows old movies is showing Gary?s film Design for Living tonight. Theresa and I will be there will bells on and I?ve already bought our tickets, a steal at only $4. It?s being presented by the Austin Film Society and their films are usually cheaper than most others. They also showed High Noon this past February and it was super sweet to get see my Gary (yes he?s mine all mine ) on the big screen.* woah! back the gary trolley up! i dont recall seeing your name written across his chest. heehee! if you can have a dream about MY melody jones, than i think i can drool over your will cane! heehee! i seriously cant wait to see it tonight! im so excited! High noon was amazing when we went to see it, but to see young gary on the big screen...i cant wait! its the only thinkg that kept me awake during math class. heehee! well that and a really pretty pic of greer on my notebook. look at those dimples just reaching to get into action! heehee! *Be careful, Theresa, we wouldn't want you to get a concussion accidentally.* heehee! well i dont think i would want one of them, thats why my mother calls me an adopted wuss, b/c she cant understand how i could be phobic about blood and needles and injuries and her and my grandpa be in the medical field. i was referring to a dream i once had with gary a while ago last year. it was sort of a chain dream where i was following him everywhere but he didnt want me to follow him, but i was really trying to help him. he just didnt know that. heehee! anyway, it finally ended with a 5th dream and on that 5th dream, i had gotten into a car accident and got a concussion, so apparentlt i was in the hospital and all the sudden he walked through the door to my room and brought me flowers and of course i had to ask a silly question, "what are you doing here, mr. leave-me-alone?" he just smiled and told me he had heard about the accident and we talked for a minute and then proposed to me. it was so random but cute. heehee! then he started walking out of the room like Walter Pidgeon did in Madame Curie, but then turned back to walk to my bed and started kissing me ever so passionately, and then i woke up...neither of us seemed to mind that i had a consussion and i didnt even feel anything after he started kissing me. heehee! i woke up giggling, b/c i never pictured anyone kissing in a hospital bed after getting a concussion.

michaela! thanks for that update about nancy, thats what i wanted to hear! yay! im so glad she is gonna be alright, i was worrying there for a minute......i know a pelvis fracture is painful, b/c i have a friend, a little girl who is 6 years old who was just in a car wreck and her pelvis was fractured too so i helped take care of her for a while and she still isnt walking. but she will be soon, and im surely nancy will do just as fine! this is so wonderful!

*Celine Dion?!? How could you?* knowing me, does that appear as a trick question to you? heehee! honestly, sis, you should know better. *i had another funny Gary dream last night. I was sitting in my livingroom wrapping presents (I don?t know if it was Christmas or what b/c there weren?t any decorations out) and I had it on TCM. A short came on and it was one that Gary had made (but not a real one) and I was freaking out b/c I hadn?t seen it before. He looked like he did in that little bit of Alias Jesse James that he was in which means he looked like old cowboy Gary!! Yay!!* wow! sounds like a cute dream to me! why do you get all the weird dreams with peanut shells, glue sticks, furniture, and wrapping presents? heehee! i think youre gonna need a bigger drool rag.

ooooooh thank you dahlink april!!! i love that video, i watch it every once in a while,just to see all of her dresses again...im still waiting for them to release the third season of the loretta young show.....i alkready have the first two seasons.....maybe i watch them too fast. heehee! but i cant help it, i always feel like her when i have a skirt or dress on, unless i have a certain type of dress on that looks like it would be a junie or greer or doris dress. heehee!

oh swasheroo!!! i love that screencap of Babbie!! that's one of my favorite scenes as a matter of fact! i love it when she played innocent half the time. *So here is Babbie, the wily lass, tricking the poor unsuspecting minister into blowing the horn that will wake the town. Oh you girls, always using your batting eye lashes or puppy dog pouts or just looking wild in the wind like ole Maddie here to wrap the guys around your little pinkies. Boy, you girls are something else. But here we can forgive her because she is doing good in getting him to blow that horn and warning the town of approaching redcoats. (She tried to do it herself but couldnt because, after all, shes just a girl)* excuse me! thats how girls are born, to bat our pretty eye lashes, not that mine are pretty, but helen's are gorgeous, she knows how to use them well on her leading men characters. heehee! thats right, she's doing good for the people in the village, b/c she cares....i love that she was a wealthy society girl who pretended to be a poor gypsy wandering around the entire village doing random fun things. what do you mean she's just a girl!!!! heehee! *Still, you goils are a wily bunch all the while. No wonder we here this:* *Innity finnity fickety faeg* *A diddae dolmansaeg* *Lipperty birky ravens croak* *Into hell and let her smoke* yeah when i first saw the movie, that scene really freaked out, with a little boy circling a wishing well casting a spell on the gypsy girl, and then she walks up to him wanting to know what he's doing and giggling atthe sight of it. then she is troubled, b/c he tells her she is a bad influence on the minister which in turn led to being a bad influence on the boys father. she didnt want that to happen, and it wasnt her fault, yet she promises not to go near her love again just for the boy's convenience.....but later on she kind of runs into him anyway, i loved that. *So yes, I loved The Little Minister. (Can you tell?) Positively. I watched it twice. Of course youve seen but let me share a few highlights that are especially to my liking. BTW, I wouldnt exactly call this a remake, per se, since this is the BBC and not Hollywood again who did it, still its the same story, and interesting to discover that it was written by J. M. Barrie, first as a novel and then an adaptation for the stage, interesting because J. M. Barrie also wrote the famed, Peter Pan.* isnt it great?! i thought you would love it. its our kind of movie. heehee! its funny, when i first got the box set, that was the movie i was least interested in watching and it didnt even cross my mind that it was the remake of Kate's version, but when i put it on, i noticed that some scenes looked very familiar, and then it came to me. i was being distracted by sewing my skirt together, but the more the movie went on, the more i was entranced with it, the entire thing, and i was fully focused on it a few minutes into it. so far i havewatched it 7 or 8 times. i lvoe it so much. but i havent watched it in a whole month, so i need to watch it again. heehee! isnt that interesting that J. M. barrie wrote both of those stories? they are so completely different, but both very strong and beautiful with wonderful plots. *Some beautiful and comic scenes, i.e., in Nanny Websters cottage where Nanny relates the story of the rose that mortifies the minister, a great scene where Nanny keeps the surprises coming and our Helen almost falls off the chair for excess of mirth (and she so very funny in the doing). The minister is wonderfully played by that actor, the name escapes, but he was perfect. At the end of this scene Babbie calls him a boy. Haha, Helen called Gino a boy too, remember? But Gino couldnt write a poem like this* i loved that scene in nanny webster's cottage where she found some tea in the gypsy's pocket and she said, "oh you are a darling creature......was this come by honestly?" helen's answer: "nanny....of course it was." nanny webster made her raise her right hand i think and spin around a few times to sware she was telling the truth...that was too cute......and then when the minister walked in and they had that conversation at the table about the rose, she acts as if she know3s nothing and its very convincing and having fun with it until nanny says something to affect of, "there is a girl." helen trips up and starts to cry a little and looks at the minister in question. "is this true?" she asks, and nanny webster explains about the rose and all the sudden helen knows its her, b/c she gave it to him in the garden. thats a great part! i loved it when she nearly fell off the chair in hysterics laughing at stories of herself. my goodness.i was wondering if you would pick up that she called him a boy in here as well as she did in WAFTT. i found that weird, but i rather thought it was more cute in The Little Minister, b/c they were young themselves, so that made it better for me. i thought the poem was pure beauty and it made me melt when i heard them read it in the movie. i almost starting crying. *Whoa, what a poem! And how about that minister writin such a poem as that. In another good scene, the poem is discovered by board members of the kirk (thinking its for the prayer meeting) and one of them, after hearing it read, says oh so gravely, Does every line begin with a capital letter?, and when the reader provides the awful answer, the other in turn affirms the dour conclusion, Then its poetry. And, of course, Heaven forefend, a minister engaging in the art of poetry when he is suppose to be writing sermons. Tsk!* i think you can do just as good, youre a great poem and songwriter remember? or did you forget so early? heehee! he is allowed to fall in love! i dont think he planned to, but really, when helen came up to him as a gypsy and kissed him right off, a perfect stranger, i think he was struck. heehee! it's like she knew they were going to fall in love, but she didnt know it yet. Or does that make any sense? heehee! *And Babbie also says this to him in that scene: If I love him, its got to be that he has shown me what love is. If I have a soul, he has to find it for me. He must compel me somehow to think. He must be my master.* funny, youmention this part of the movie, when i first saw her say that, i had the most interesting sense of deja vu. it was like i had heard thta line somewhere before, and i dont recall if it was in the original with kate. its my new motto. heehee! i absolutely love thta line, its the best line in the movie....it has to be a tie between my other all time favorite quote by greer in Goodbye Mr. Chips as she tells chips that he can accomplish anything. *Yes, her master, but not in the Gino sense in the other movie, no where is there a sense that the minister would ?shake? Babbie as Gino did Lilia. It?s more gentle here, do you agree? A woman in this parochial setting does, in fact, need a man who is stronger than she, because it?s the way of their little world and provides a necessary and positive security for both parties. And there is no sense that a husband will lord over his wife in a cruel way. (And we need to remember Babbie?s actual station in life, so it applies there as well, as she is the one speaking the lines).* THANK GOODNESS!!! im so glad he didnt shake her back to life as mean Gino did. when you watch the minister's personality, you see in his eyes that he is very gentle natured and it is hard for him to "tame" Babbie from her having fun and it is almost as if she brings the fun out of him in the garden when he gets so mad at her for everything going on, yet he cant be angry at her, b/c he is falling so deeply i love with her and he mentions how he loves her hair, her face, the wat she deos everything. i thought that was just the sweetest thing! if you remember in the scene in her manshion when she comes out dressed as her real self, it upsets the minister and rightly, but even when all this happens and the truth comes out to him, right as he is about to leave, he grabs her and kisses her oh so passionately tilting her slightly in his arms, and her father looks on in astonishment as well as her other betrothed man. as he releases from her grasp, she is still in the same position in awe and then purposely stays there with one eye open for a second to see if anyone is watching. i started giggling when she did that. i just loved that whole scene! *(So when will Butterscotchgreer meet her match and jump. Boy, I can see those eye lashes abattin? and that puppy dog pout ?apoutin. )* when my mother saw this movie with me, she said the same thing. she said that Babbie reminded her of me. oh gee, thanks momma. heehee! *Helen showed some range here too. She appears comfortable doing all than cutesy business as a Gypsy and very believable. All the acting is just superb, something that one can nearly always count on with the BBC. Anyway, I loved it. I have not seen the movie with Kate, but I doubt it could match this, not to may taste anyway* i think that is what the big difference was between these two versions of the Little Minister. Kate's was a little more in the heavy dramatic field, whereas, helen's was mroe playful and funny. i really cant compare the two, b/c they have two different styles, but i must say that i have watched helen's more. heehee! *Care to recommend another from your Helen Mirren at the BBC boxed set, darlin?, you sure are a good recommender.* ill chat about the philanthropist later, okay. i have to go, my mother is here to pick me up. yes i ratehr have a few more helen movies you might like to see and would most likely enjoy. ill explain later. have a fun day fulll of smiles and sunshine....tootles! heehee!

yeah i was glad when it was over, and then i rushed out of that stuffy room and i wore a skirt to school today and just felt like doing a loretta young twirl when i opened the door to walk out and then closed it like she did. heehee! i couldnt resist. i was just listening to all of my favorite and lip synking along with him...i was just listening to All the Way, the duet with celine dion...i absolutely love it to death!

I actually had a dream that was vaguely related to a school reunion or something, complete with an 80s theme and lots of 80s songs.* my momma was from the 80s, and she's still obssessed with them, so i sort of grew up knowing most things from then, especially the music and movies.

My boss just* *handed me one of his Irish Tea bags, so I'm now about to have my third.* well i wasnt in the mood for high caffeine, but even the Calm tea did the trick. i had a test just now in college mathematics class and i kept sipping all through the test and i passed it with flying colors....i think i would have fallen asleep if it wasnt for that tea.... lucky ducky! i bet you got your irish tea...that actually sounds really good right about now. when i get home, ill have to whip out some of my irish tea. im surely yours is better though. ;0

*I like him much better.* i know olivier martinez makes mr blush, he is so charming, but you wouldnt know it from his character, at least when he shows the real person he is at the end. he's charming allthroughout the rest of the movie though, talk about needing to breathe. heehee! i was trying to remember where i had seen his face before this movie and it was borhtering me for a week, until i remembered this one time my daddy had Unfaithful on TV. he is the guy that had the affair with diane lane. smack myself in the head, why didnt i see that before? goodness me! but i didnt like that movie very much, too many sex scenes, not a nice plot, not my dreamy sappy ending. this guy doesnt know how to have a real relationship with his women in his movies. heehee! but i would take Mrs. Stone over Unfaithful. *Oh, me too! And I didn't like that "grey" hair color on Viv, it wasn't very flattering. Helen's* *color is much nicer.* i never did understand why they gave Viv that grey in her hair. were they wanting her to look older? wasnt the movie about her wanting to look younger? that kind of confused me.

I guess the next step is for him to become Grandpa Coop.* ew! no! i didnt like it when i dreamt about him as my daddy in the first place. greer got him all to herself, of course i cant really get mad at greer. she's all too perfect. heehee! she was absolutely gorgeous and no matter what you say frankie, she was an absolute angel. that was the first one with greer as my mother too. goodness, i was related to everyone in it. heehee! helen was even my aunt and banana oil, smithy had to be my uncle. holy joe! i cant complain, i was a princess. heehee! *I like the overalls with the cape look, Princess Greer. It's rather a scary movie to watch because I certainly don't want to end* *up that way! I always think about that when I watch this movie.* no it isnt a pleasant story at all. although there are some very fun scenes where they are very happy and go to dances and balls, but other than that, the happiness, especially in Mrs. Stone just isnt there, b/c she thinks everything in her life is spiriling out of control and into non-existence. *Did they film the remake in Rome? Mrs Stone is a brave role for an aging actress to take on, since it strips* *the character bare of all defenses, just like in A Streetcar Named Desire.* a lot of people continually point that out. they say thats why both viv and helen were such inspirational and gifted actresses not afraid to do anything. *As to Williams, well, he definitely had a warped point of view, particularly of aging women,* *shaped no doubt by his own experiences growing up.* i believe that. he just made aging women out to be fearful of being too lonely and ugly, when it doesnt have to be that way...reality check! we are own own persons and every woman thinks differently. i just hated his portrayal of aging women. but the story really is moving in the intensity of it. they did great with the haircuts,but i prefer both of them with the long hair. they look much prettier.

*Okay now for my dream about Gary being my father. I was 13 and I gotta tell you it was strange seeing myself that age again. Anyway, I was friends with Gary?s daughter Maria and she was also my same age and she looked like she did in pics from her book when she was that age. I?m not sure what happened to my family but I didn?t have any and I think I was in foster care or something. Well, I was always hanging out at Maria?s house (it was beautiful too) so Gary and his wife Rocky decided to adopt me. I don?t really remember seeing Rocky in the dream but I remember Gary telling me about it and I was so happy and me and Maria thought it was cool that now we got to be sisters. My mom got a real kick out of this one and she joked that she was hurt b/c I had tossed her aside for Gary instead.* i still cant believe we both had a dream where gary was our dad in the same week no less. heehee! goodness! *It was especially funny that Theresa and I both had dreams about him being our father in the same week and we were both embarrassed to tell anybody. I?ve had plenty of dreams where he was my ?daddy?, but never my father . He was a great dad, but I like the other dreams better .* i have never referred to gary as my sugar daddy in my dreams though, that may be one of the few differences in our dreams. heehee! boy are you bad sis. tsk. tsk. tsk...heehee! *And Sis, stay away from my Charlie .* yeah yeah, i think he's cute and he's a great actor, but you can have hi,...i want smithy....or darcy....or gary...im still deciding, i just hope laffite doesnt catch me. heehee!

*Oh, dahlink, I don't think I have seen the Helen Mirren version, but I am most certainly intrigued enough to want to check it out. The Viv version I saw not too long ago, I thought that was pretty good.* the Helen version is pretty good and she looks absolutely GORGEOUS in it with exquisite gowns in it. if you would like to see that one and compare it to Viv's version, go right ahead. i'd like to hear other comparisons.

*Seriously I don't think I've yet had dreams that featured classic film stars, at least not that I can remember. Maybe the way I'm going it's just a matter of time.* youre right, its just a matter of time. heehee! just watch some of your favorite movies right before you go to bed. it always works.

*I bought a couple more Jean Arthur movies this morning; Talk of the Town and The Silver Horde (haven't seen this one). In January TCM is showing The Devil and Miss Jones and I'm really looking forward to that! Sony is also supposed to be releasing more of her films on dvd next year too - yay!!! Saying that I'm not much of a John Wayne fan is an understatment so unfortunately I'll just have to miss out on the one she made with him. Why did you do it Jean, why?!?* hey stop picking on jean for making a WONDERFUL movie with the Duke. heehee! she did it because she wanted to and you KNOW you WANT to see it right? heehee! *Hey Sis, so are you gonna share that crazy Gary dream you had? If you tell 'em yours, I tell 'em mine .* thats not fair! why did you do that? i was trying not to say it! fine i guess ill have to tell them now that you have let the kitty out of the bag.....honestly! heehee! okay everyone here's how the dream started....... the first person that showed up in my dream was of course greer and she was the Queen of England dressed up as Elizabeth II, dont ask. heehee! now here's whats weird, there were two Queens of England...why? i havent the foggiest and the other queen was helen mirren of course, but she was dressed up as Elizabeth I from way back then...goodness dreams are wierd! anyway, so they were the two Queens of England and dresssed from two different periods and greer was my mother, so that made me the princess of England. heehee!, and wouldnt you know it, guess who my father was......GARY!! seriuosly, gary just had to be my daddy in a dream and married to greer! heehee! and he was wearing overalls....again......with a cape over them (how silly is that, overalls with a cape )so anyway Queen Helen was my aunt, greer's sister and she was married to Ronald Colman(he looked like he did in random harvest). Queen Helen was also pregnant....well dream went on and both Queens and Kings were trying to pair me up with my future husband.....Charles Farrell ( ang was so jealous ). well i didnt know the man and although i thought he was so handsome i didnt want to marry for anything but love, of course, so while my royal family was planning a joust between my future husband and some other dude who was also elligible for being my husband i got to know charles more. i started to fall in love with him and then rooted for him in the joust but right as the joust was to begin Queen helen went into labor so we all rushed into the medical quarters of the castile and she had the baby, a little girl....and they determined that me and this new little girl were going to be the next two Queens of England.....and the joust was put back on the next day and charles won naturally and right as i went to give him a victory kiss i had to wake up! honestly! you'd thuink after all that i would get to kiss the guy. okay ang i told them gary was my daddy in my dream now its your turn! heehee!
