I could eat everthing you named* *in one swallow I'm so hungry now! I can't wait to see pictures!* im glad you got the hint! i wanted to make your mouth water, so you could go out and eat something special. you always seem to be worried about your beautiful figure! have some fun with food! Italy doesnt count by the way....that was vacation. heehee! need i remind you of your black Gilda Dress? heehee! ill post pics soon. -
*I saw that about Blossoms in the Dust over at the Home Theater Forum site this morning. Initially, they said it was going to be part of a box set of a holiday films collection and then somebody posted a link to what looks like just the individual movie.* it would have been better if they were to release a whole box set of just greer anytime soon, but i dont think thats what is going to happen. i would love for them to release a box set of: Valley of Decision Madame Curie Adventure When Ladies Meet Mrs. Parkington you know, at least those, if not all of her movies. heehee! *I love that pic from MJD, it's one of my faves from that one. The looks on their faces are great. Barbara looks sad and almost defeated but Gary has a look of steely determination - oooh I just love it!!!* i think you told me that one time at your house. i just love his look in this photo. he just has a way of displaying his ability of looking like he can do anything to protect you...i love that! now if only he had a little dimple action.. pity. heehee!

*I want to hear all about it!!* well daddy said i shouldnt wear my black evening dress, b/c the rest of my family doesnt like to dress up at all and i would be out of place, so i agreed and just wore a sort of cocktail day dress not too evening like instead, but i did get to wear my long black gloves and glossy black high heels! i even got gloves etiquette from grandmama. she told me all about when she was a teenager in the 50s and that i shouldnt wear my ring on top of my gloves. it was too cute. this is what it looks like for now at least. http://www.driskillhotel.com/ i took pictures, so ill have to post them to show you. you should have seen their menu! i had never seen anything so elegant or....expensive to say the least. heehee! each person got two courses....i have never had more than one course at dinner! heehee! for my first course, i had the Buttered Lobster plate....the presentation was AMAZING and EXQUISITE! i didnt want to eat it, b/c it looked so pretty. then my second course was the cinnamon dusted duck breast with pomegranate sauce. they had a fancy name for the sauce, but i forgot it. then daddy started teasing me, saying their presentation was phenomenal compared to Emeril's.....honestly daddy! heehee! at the table grandpapa looked over at me and said, "who's this movie star?" he said i looked like a brunette veronica lake, b/c i wore my hair down and sort of wavy. everyone got something different so we could all taste each other's beautiful dishes and sarously, you need to see some of the stuff they have at this place..they have caviar and quail eggs and on the menu was an 1100 dollar bottle of win from 1904!! me and daddy immidiately saw that at the same time and our eyes grew wider and wider. daddy is so funny, he said,"about what kind of security could a place like this have for a bottle of wine like that?" then i asked,"how many bottles of wine from 1904 could one place have?" one or two maybe....but its cool, b/c they update their menus every day and they date them at the top in fancy lettering. i loved it! the waitor even let me bring a menu home and he wrapped it in ribbon for me too. he was really sweet....hey i had to ask for one for my scrapbook. heehee! their wine cellar/cabinet was right behind us, being protected by this very uniquely designed glass and antique wood doors, but we could see though the glass and daddy started drooling. heehee! but all their bottles were so highly praised and old. the brands were all expensive with beautiful labels. thankfully we didnt buy any alcohol. goodness! since we had a big group there, well it wasnt a big group, but both sets of grandparents were there, and so was my little brother and parents, and if you have a big group, the executive cheff always brings out a complimentary sample of some of his finest dishes in infinitesimal amounts. each person got soemthing different and i got what was more like a sample drink. it was a shot glass of frozen crushed up fruit and a blend of pure fruit juices and it was the most delicious punch i have ever tasted! i felt like ordering everything on the menu like Queen Latifa did in Last Holdiay so that the chef could come out to talk to me and i could thank him, but i wasnt about to do that. heehee! then desert time came and i got Blackberry Sorbet.....im tellin' ya. phew! that was the strongest sorbet, i have ever eaten, and the best! momma and daddy got this chocolate delicatessant torte thing, i wish i could remember the name of it. i took a picture of it, b/c it was so beautiful. it was a chocolate torte with layers in the inside of it, with another chocolate glaze over it and a little pure raspberry sorbet on the side of it with a swirly pieace of suagr ontop of it, and then raspberry sauce made into an intricate design on the plate to make it lok pretty.....thank goodness i didnt have any of that....it looked too chocolaty for me. yucky. heehee! i just loved the way it looked. my little brother, just got ordinary vanilla ice cream...honestly, who gets somehting that ordinary at a place like this? heehee! he really scarfed it down anyway, apparently he liked it. grandma(not my old movie grandma, the other one) got this lemon sorbet and if i thought the blackberry one was strong, phew!. it was the most tart and sour lemony desert. she let me taste it and she said i broke out in a lucy face. it was too funny, she broke out in laughter, but hey, she looooved her lemony tartness. it was definitely a beautiful experience, and expensive, but well worth it, i thought, and so did my family. they told me they were in awe of how beautiful the restaurant looked. it was very vintage and ethereal! -

hey jackie!! *Do you feel more grown up today? I still feel like eighteen most of the time....* i still feel 16..its like i skipped 17. heehee! i dont ordinarily think of my age all the time, so its sort of mind boggling that im 18. my family seems to always ask me if i wanna grow up, but i hardly think that....besides, where's the fun in that? thankfully my grandparents know that i will never grow up. who needs to......and jackie, you can be 18 any day of the week with me. hey barbara!! *Oh, you're welcome my sweet scotch-girl. Glad I was able to provide a "preview"!* i definitely enjoyed it! youre ever so kind! -

hey michaela! *Well he did kiss that other girl in Spider-man 3, didn't he?* dont say such a thing! spider-man would nevercheat on his mary jane...the very thought makes me want to cry! heehee! hey swashy! *Mary Jane? Is she his girlfriend? Does he ever step out, or...uh...fly out...or fly upside down out and kiss girls other than Mary Jane, or does he just hang from buildings and kiss Mary Jane and no other. Maybe I should just see the movie, right?* in a sense mary jane is his girl friend, but spider-man's girl friend, not peter's, but that changes as soon as she figures out who he is....its complicated, so dont sass me swashy! heehee! just kidding. *I believe it. It's over my head.* all you have to do, is watch it, and then youll see that they were meant to be in love and kiss upside down in the rain...its philosophy i guess. heehee!...but then again i wouldnt know. ;0 -

*If he was wearing a sombrero, maybe he wasn't Superman? Could it have been his south-of-the-border cousin, Superhombre?* heehee! i dunno, let's go ask him. do you think he'll remember his sombrero? it could have been his cousin, stealing his clothes....tsk. tsk. heehee! -
